A decent price for a machine to play all those highly rated undemanding games on Steam. A Chinese 150 quid 6600M added later would give it a massive boost.

At this price point, someone may prefer to go with a £50 ex-miner RX580 from Aliexpress. Quite a few resellers spotlighted here recently. Just upgrade the PSU when you buy.

I bought this PC for my son, plays Minecraft, Roblox and Fortnite (720/low) great. Will probably add a gpu when he gets a bit older. I was surprised by the quality of the case, which has a glass door with hinge and magnetic clasp, and full array rgb fans. Great price
    liltman's avatar
Do you know what FPS Fortnite gets in that 720p test?
  3. samyt79's avatar
Will this run Microsoft Flight sim2020 if I added a better graphics card?
    iWish's avatar
If adding a GPU you'll need to upgrade the PSU as well.

Am I correct in saying there is no Windows installation as part of the £275 deal? Thanks
    MrKrabs's avatar
Correct. Can either get a cheap key from tinternet or look up MAS scripts as it'll be just as (il)legit.

I need a desptop for browsing with maybe up to 20 tabs and also for some word and excel work. Would this be a fast pc? Not using it for gaming.
    hilari0us's avatar
Yes this would be far beyond sufficient and it'd perform excellently for your mentioned tasks.

Cracking price. I don't really game on my PC anymore even though I have a huge collection of older games. I require a chipset that is compatible with Windows 11 as my older AMD processor and chipset aren't. Fortunately, I can re-use the Geforce GTX 750 TI, 750W PSU and SSD from my existing PC to give this a boost. Happy days.
    MrKrabs's avatar
Your 750 ti probably isn't much, if any quicker than the igpu in the 5600g, but with additional power draw and heat

Wow, what a bargain if you don't want to build from scratch yourself! I notice some of the upgrades are fairly badly priced, I guess that's what they're hoping people will reach for.

If I were getting this, I'd swap the PSU out myself (their upgrade prices are ok but I think you can do better) and add a GPU, even a basic one would do wonders: eg RX 580 from China, GTX 1650/1660, etc.

Great little budget PC for Fortnite/Overwatch etc at 1080p low settings.
As others have mentioned, take the PSU upgrade option and you can add a graphics card at a later date if you feel like it.
CeX have a load of low-mid range cards at not-awful prices if you're not fond of the refurbs from China.

But £275 for a ready-to-use little gaming PC?
    Very nice indeed. (edited)

I haven't seen a sarden deal in a while, wasn't sure if I'd just missed seeing them or if you'd had a break. Hope you're well mate. Been contemplating a new build myself, and debating that or upgrading my old machine and had been looking out for your deals

18 months ago the would have been £500 +. 5600g is a great starter pc..

Solid point and tbh it still is at many places, and thats why i still do the prebuilt market even if parts are available.
  11. fastcarmaniac's avatar
Shame you can’t remove some of the bits, I only need a M/board, case and PSU. Have everything else in spares and might put something together for the kids to abuse

Email them. They have done custom before .

How well would this run Fortnite?
I am going to guess worse than a PS4 lol?

Nephew wants a PC but they are too expensive for his age. Could get this and add GPU later
    plewis00's avatar
Should be ok - see some YouTube videos:

You could add a basic/entry-level GPU for a big improvement too. I think you can coax it to run better than a PS4 as you can optimise the settings. And being a PC, nephew can use it for other things as well. (edited)

Decent. Wonder how much they'd charge if you asked for no psu as a custom order, even if only a tenner off you could then get the antec earthwatts semi mod 550w from amazon for £59 which is probably the best psu available for under £75, and then run anything up to and including a 4070
    liltman's avatar
Ohhh that looks decent! Can a 550w really handle up to a 4070? I am guessing due to how efficient that card is but I would of thought be best to go 650w minimum just for a bit of leg room or future upgrades lol.

However, with how power efficient they are, this might just be fine. I need a power supply for my old system so very tempting at this price as most PSU's currently have really shot up in price!

Strange how little reviews there are of this PSU on Amazon though
  14. captbirthday's avatar
Would this be ok for running soft synths along with Ableton live, midi keyboard etc.
    Pagemaster's avatar
Yep, I'm running some heavy multi vst workloads with a worse PC than this, I'm sure it would be fine
  15. cannibalwombat's avatar
Tempted to get one with the CIT 700W PSU. What's the advantage of the B550-M motherboard over the A520? Also, if I wanted to add a graphics card later (maybe a 4060 Ti if I can find one at a good price), would the 5600g really hobble its gaming performance vs e.g. a 5600X?
    The.Fat.Cat's avatar
If upgrading the PSU don't go with a CIT one, they are bargain basement.
I wouldn't put them in any PC that is going to have a discreet GPU.

What's a good work PC. I need it to comfortably run 3 monitors 1080. (one is an ultra wide and the other two are DELL sharp monitors)

    Easily.

Anybody know a small case that the Asus mobo would fit in? Been looking but can't find a cube case that'll work. I guess I should say THAT doesn't cost the earth (edited)

Just ordered the base system. Do these normally take the full 10 days to arrive (not paid Q jump)?
