So as far as I understand it, The Works was selling Christmas cards at £3 to help Cancer UK. Now they are selling the same Christmas cards at 25p. What does that mean exactly? Cancer Research is going to get less money? Is it The Works that is losing money? Were the £3 a scam from the begining? I really think that all these things that we buy "for charity" should have clearly marked how much money the charity got (or is getting) from that sell.

I ‘think’ that the loss is to The Works - they have already purchased these (assuming they are last years stock) so the charity has already received their % and now they are being sold at a loss.

Surely the message inside should read Season's Bleatings.

Ah, Cancer Research UK. The /charity/ who invested millions in British America Tobacco.

CRUK don’t actually invest in BAT. However, their pension scheme providers (USS) do but CRUK have no control over who USS invest in.
