Every time I ordered an SD card from Amazon, I have always had problem, mostly they are fake. I have given up ordering from Amazon and eBay!

You should be fine if it's sold & dispatched by Amazon - don't buy from thirdparty sellers.

you can use h2testw.org to test wherever you buy them from, also useful for testing flash drives.

Got one for £14.99 using the £5 off £15 App order promotion

Do you happen to have a link for that, etc, by any chance?

    Thanx.

just a headsup, if anyone is thinking. could be usefull for a dashcam/video etc, new kit needs u3 = 30MB/s write speed. this is only u1 = 10MB/s write speed,
    amour3k's avatar
+ generally, the OP's memory card deal, is NOT designed for such use case scenario's anyway, or whatever.

ENDURANCE rated memory card's are preferable, etc ...

A great price but I'm a bit confused why there are "[for 32GB-1TB]", "[for 16GB]" speeds listed. This thing is 400GB. So, only the speed quoted in point 7 is the correct one? I.e. a *lab conditions* "Up to 100MB/s read speed, up to 40MB/s write speed". So, by my calculations about an hour to write 128GB?

Ultra one doesn't specify write speed.
Most of the listings on Amazon are messed up.
I have gotten about 50-40MB/s write on 400GB on Ultras.

Don’t know if I’d trust their SD cards given what’s going on with their SSDs.

Hopefully no one is trusting cheap consumer cards for irreplaceable data. This is to download games onto your steamdeck/switch not to take on your once in a lifetime trip in your camera. That really sucks for the Verge though

sorry to hijack with a question:
what is a good dashcam specific memory card? thanks
    MikeWard1701's avatar
You’ll want to look for ones that are designed for heavy / constant writing.

SanDisks Endurance line is designed for continuous recording with security cameras and dash cams.

They cost double the price of their standard cards but are guaranteed for X number of hours, the higher the capacity the higher the hours.

When I first got my security cameras I used the cards in this deal, and they all died after 12-24 months of continuous recording.

    Ordered for my Vita

Hopefully 400gb cards work with Sd2Vita? Can anyone confirm?
    sparkky's avatar
Pretty sure it will you can use 512gb so don't see why 400 would be any problem

    Great for the Switch

    Any good for ps vita?
  9. johnro's avatar
    Anyone reached those claimed speeds?
    taffyjock1's avatar
Yes and no, I get about 90MBps read 70ish write transferring 1GB+ files, but this drops to 11r/5w on smaller files.

Maybe my adapter is not upto snuff or have a fragmented card, but yeah UPTO claims have always annoyed me.

Utterly amazing how far technology has come haha
    amour3k's avatar
They're getting crazily CHEAP alright! :-O

Not as cheap as 4 x 128GB Kingston memory card's at just under £5 a pop! - on Amazon too, etc.

But yeh, definitely CHEAP enough nonetheless. :-D

I might actually get 1 or 2 of these also. :-)

Decent price; wierd size / capacity

Works quite well for the steam deck as well. I was sent one as a warranty replacement for an older 200 GB card. Only noticed about a 5/10 second difference in loading times for FH5 between this and my other 256GB extreme pro. (edited)
    USERTEMP's avatar
Great price. This is an A1 card, you will notice more difference when installing games compared to an A2 card. Still it works fine in the deck like you say.

    Good for drones?
    amour3k's avatar
Could do, but wouldn't recommend such, no.

Memory card's along the lines of what follow's are preferable:

ENDURANCE, PRO, EXTREME, ULTRA EVO/EVO II (and I'd say, in that sort of order too ... )

Example of which is this one one here, also:

    hotukdeals.com/dea…080

    Hope that helps? :-)

Would this work will in a MacBook Air?
    amour3k's avatar
Can't say for sure, but, I don't see why not?

I've had similar memory card's in Windows laptop's, Windows hybrid tablet/laptop's, as well as in Android phone's/Android tablet's too, etc.

And never had any issues with the use of memory card's within anyyyyy of them, throughout. :-)
