Is this £5 per person or per transaction. In the T&C it says entitles one person to £5 carvery but then says valid for a table of 6. I’m confused. Anyone shed any light?
    jms54's avatar
£5 per person. But you only need one voucher for a table of up to 6 people to get it for £5pp

So..up to 6 people at £5 each? What's the normal price, can't find anything on the app.

    Edit: £9 (edited)

Ormal price is a variant depending on location. Here in Chester it’s £9.70 for the carvery. They serve your choice of meat and you serve yourself to the veggies and gravy. Usually mid week is choice of 3 meats…..turkey, beef, ham. You can have a bit of each, or just two, we always have just the Turkey.

Got this earlier today after my gym session lol. It was pretty quiet. Not as good as the 50% deal but its still a damn good deal. I was stuffed after. From a value for money standpoint you cant go wrong with £5 and its unlimited sides. For those who comment and say its rubbish or not worth the money... Please offer me some examples of what is? A freshly cooked roast dinner with unlimited veg/gravy and condiments for £5. People spend £3 on a coffee and dont batter an eye lid. Yet moan that this isnt worth it lol. Crazy times. Rant over. Hot from me.

Offt, I wonder if I could book 3 days off and try my luck?

Went last night at 7pm, was pretty busy but table service was fast. Queue for the carvery was slightly longer than usual but they had roast pork, gammon, turkey and beef. Anyone who says it isn't worth £5 just doesn't like carvery.

Decent deal, but not for me during the hottest week of the year.

Do you mean the 50% off offer they had a month or two ago? This one is not as good, so maybe won't be that busy.

Also available for Click and Collect (where available!).

Can 2 people on same table uses the voucher on 2 different phones?
    happymanuk's avatar
The voucher can be used for up to 6 people per table. If you had more than 6 people you'd have to sit at two separate tables to use 2 vouchers I would expect.

Just booked for 7.40 as fully booked before then. Will there be any meat left
    harmageddon's avatar
Not if I get in before you 😜

  19. Alexander_Cooper's avatar
What's the normal price and is this just a choice of 1 meat?
    Colwales's avatar
Only £7.49 for midweek and sunday its like £10.90 cos it has lamb
  20. Old.Gold's avatar
If I remember correctly the previous offer was just for evening. is this for all day?
    Infinite.Element's avatar
Terms say "during opening hours" but does say it excludes breakfast.

So as long as you're having a standard carvery it's fine.

we went and due to usual "herding of cats" ended up with 3 having dinner and 2 go-boxes - bill should a saving of £19.95 - dinner for 5 and a few drinks was less than last weeks coffee and cakes for 3!

    Booked for Click and collect!

50% offer recently was only if seated. So good for me

    Price £5.

    Worth £1.....

    Not seeing the attraction.
    Backinamo's avatar
How do you calculate its worth £1? love to see your breakdown and comparison with alternative.

When TCB has a £2 bonus on a £5 spend it’s worth buying a £5 Toby voucher for when this offer pops up.
    Works out less than £3
    crumpetman's avatar
That's an odd logic. What happens if there is never a Toby £5 offer?

When there is a TCB bonus I buy a supermarket gift card as I know it will definitely be used within a week. You are not saving any extra by taking the £2 off of the Toby meal instead of £2 off grocery shopping.

The last few times we went we had a complete lack of service and issues. from one being told an hour before we were expected for dinner (in a large group) they only had turkey left and that would most probably be gone when we arrived. Decided to go to another only to have appalling service. No staff to be seen. No "How is your meal". Nada.
Seemed the girl (who we eventually managed to find) couldn't be less interested in the job and had just come out of juvie.
    This was Redhill and Ewell.
We've decided to no longer go down here. But I must admit the ones around Scotland were the best we've been to.
Seems they need to improve their service but are finding it hard to find decent staff.
    smicer07's avatar
I had the opposite experience in Chester. Amazing food and service. So I guess it's pot luck.
  27. Greg_D's avatar
    Do they do oysters here?
    crumpetman's avatar
    Menu varies depending on location.
  28. mkohagan's avatar
    So it includes Friday?
    crumpetman's avatar
    Yes
  29. gadgetcake's avatar
Trying to do this as close to £10 for 2 as possible, now need to convince the other half to go cheap on the drinks! Any suggestions?!

Used this offer tonight at my local, wasn’t too busy at 7pm but definitely seemed like a cut down menu. Only had Turkey, beef and gammon. The only veg were peas, carrots, cauliflower and some wilted looking cabbage. Didn’t they use to have roast onion, green beans and parsnips? None of that…

Roast potatoes, potato bake and mash were available, stuffing was out (apart from a few dry crumbs) and not being refilled, only normal gravy available from the big pots. (no bread sauce but some cranberry, mint and horseradish)

anyway can’t complain for £5, now lying in bed too full to sleep

edit: didn’t realise that the choice of just 3 meats is probably normal for weekdays (edited)
    TheOneAndOnly's avatar
there use to be pork as well even on a weekday. I didn't know they had a weekend menu.
  32. cambourne03's avatar
Wat there last night and had to que like a herd of sheep. It was only scraps of meat that was left. No turkey and as for the veg there wasnt much of that left either. Looked like a dogs dinner on my plate to be honest.
    knocka's avatar
Pretty similar to my experience last night at 6.30pm
  33. weemee002's avatar
They be fair it's probably not even worth £5! Dry meat and crusty veg!! Everyone loves a potato deep fried an hour ago right!!! 🤮
