Since when has revolut started charging fee if you make payment on weekend?

I know few years ago they started giving reduced rates on weekend but I’ve never been charged a fee for a transaction before.

Even then i thought it their fees only applied if you exchanged money on the app rather than make online or store payment

Looks like i need backups for future payments on weekends

Just switch to starling. So much better and no ridiculous atm withdrawal limits

Or Starling. Both are full bank accounts.

Was this a currency exchange? They appear to charge a 1% on these types of transactions at weekends.

Can't see anything for any standard transaction though.

It has been around a few years now. Forex markets are closed on weekends and bank holidays, so basically Revolut is adding a fee in case the markets swings against them on the next working day.
