Mobile Loyalty Contract

Hi All,

Sorting the phone out for my missus. Found some great deals on fonehouse and affordable mobiles. Went back to 3 to see if they price match, their price double what ive found. they package it that another credit check etc is not worth the 28 quid difference. miraculously they can get it down 12 quid. then when i said not good enough, they managed to get another 3 quid off.

Question for the techies.. If i get the PAC code, go to a sim only with another supplier, and thenget a pac code from them to go back to Three would that work? the AM/FH deals are on 3
Thanks

Double-port dance is standard to switch to better PM deal on same network.
Usually via very temporary PAYG sim.
Intermediary Lyca PAYG free sim may still permit no topup to port,
but previous favourite ASDAmobile PAYG free sim now requires topup to port.

Or just go for one of the minimal-cost Lebara/Lyca deals for a few days or up to a month so still have allowances during the DP period.

Mobile loyalty ? That’s a joke more like mobile prison if you stay with a network for longer than two years

Dumped three as wanted to triple my price at renewal.
Went to Lebara £2.49 12 gb for 6 months, now Lyca £1.49 6 months.
Will switch again in 4 months.

Loyalty for a commoditised service is a silly notion.

Whenever anything is out of contract it's time to phone up and haggle, and don't be scared of leaving for a better deal, most of the time if you leave and re-join it's usually cheaper than what they are willing to offer
