Narrow TVs that can go quite flush to the wall? :)

Hi, we'd like to get a TV for the bedroom that sits as close to the wall as possible since my wife wants to cover it up with a painting or something. We have a Samsung Frame downstairs at the moment which does nice and flush to the wall, but it's also a lot of extra money to pay when it's going to be covered up anyway (we won't be using the Frame's picture/always on feature). Any recommendations please?

Her only requirement is that it sits flush to the wall, my main requirement would be that it has reasonably good software - I'm open to getting another Samsung but the software is so bad.

Thank you

Modern TVs these days are about the same thickness. If you want flushed to the wall then it'll likely have to be wall-mounted.

Samsung and LG have their own 1st party wall-mounted brackets that lets you sit it very close to the wall.

I'm not telling you to go buy the most expensive TVs. These are just examples to show they exist and that they are probably an OLED TV.

Thank you! It’ll definitely be wall mounted and that one looks great (though quite pricey!). You’re right that most TVs are fairly thin now, but many are much thicker on the bottom

Doing a bit or reverse thinking, why not just mount the picture on a deep frame? Then all you need is choose the TV you like the specs of & a flush wall frame. (edited)

Thanks, so… hmm. That’s a good idea! Although I’m thinking my wife would argue the more flush it sits to the wall, the less deep the frame would need to be, and the better it would look

What about the rather insane LG Wallpaper TV it's thinner than a flat HDMI connector! In fact it's about half the thickness of an Bic biro pen, but with a 65" screen!

Sadly linking to the LG web site is banned on this site - but just search for LG Wallpaper TV

It's 3.85mm thick - actually the newer model is 2.57mm thick! (that's thinner than some actual textured wallpapers!) (edited)

Thanks, it's a good idea (probably ideal for our living room) but not for here unfortunately
