Why are all the best Black Friday deals announced days before?

Just know when midnight hits tonight they'll be a stream of horrible deals with rubbish discounts and you'll feel like all the good stuff was announced days prior and already sold out?

Retailers try to get in first to get your money.. It is that simple. No point listing your ps5 deal tomorrow when everyone bought them a few days before..

    ^ This.

The actual day of BF is traditionally dominated by Amazon so other retailers try to get your money before then.

Has it? I can’t say I’ve seen much of interest up to now and more like a load of stuff which has been this price or before earlier in the year

I expect Black Friday is now just a marketing scam for most companies these days

Hopefully they have a few surprises uo their sleeves. And these early black friday offers aren't the real deal. Otherwise there's always cyber Monday

Is there a Black Friday thread? I know probably not amazing deals but enjoy staying up and seeing what comes in

Because if you snooze you lose.

Black Friday was one day, then a weekend, then a week long event, some retailers run it earlier than that.

Potential customers want to spend money at this time of year and its a race to see who can take your cash first.

black friday is not a british event, its an american event which is related to thanks giving.. in the uk it was brought in a bout 5 years ago, and the first few years where great but now black friday is basically the start of the christmas shopping season and is not the day for big deals but more of the start of general christmas shopping season. everything so far has been crap, the only thing i bought was the trainers for £25 (edited)
