Does using this app help you save money or encourage you to spend more?

While I've definitely saved money with this app, I sometimes question whether I'm actually saving or spending more overall, as attractive deals entice me to make purchases I wouldn't ordinarily make

Saves me quite a bit. Then again, I'm old school and only buy what I need rather than what I want (which isn't much)

This site has made me spend around £6000 i wouldn't have spent in the last few months, it definitely causes unnecessary spending and thats what they want obviously (edited)

It is difficult to resist the thrill of a deal. Unless you have self discipline, you will spend more than you want to.

This website has cost me loads of money over the years. But I have also made a lot of money from it. I can't remember the last time I paid full price for anything

It's a bit of addiction especially with discounted trainers.... I've brought 8 pairs in last month alone.... And searching waiting for best ps5 deal before they are all sold out is a nightmare

Funny you should mention trainers, I've bought two pairs recently for myself (both not due for delivery until January) from Amazon and to be honest I'm not even sure if they will come then, but they are to replace some ageing / to be resigned to the garden trainer box.

Plus I've been watching out for trainers for one of my sons Christmas, picked up a pair of Puma for £15 with an Amazon offer after a further £5 voucher code posted here too, and just picked up a pair of Adidas Stan Smiths for £28ish.

This time from ASOS via a post on here not long ago, which is possibly a glitch as same ones are on the Adidas website for £85.

I've been good this year and not gone overboard with purchasing stuff I don't need or even want, but when you see a bargain at times it's hard to resist.

Now need a decent deal on at least half price selection boxes and that's my Christmas Shopping done so I'm hoping the fairies are listening........

(oh and chocolate coins, preferably from Lidl as they are really good). (edited)

Absolutely saved me, but I'm not an impulse buyer. I don't buy stuff just because it is cheap, I buy stuff because I need it. I bought 40 litres of adblue for twenty odd quid earlier this week. Paid that much for ten litres not too long ago when I needed it pretty much asap. Won't go off before I use it.

I still think I'm on the side of it costing me money (despite cutting back) - Most of what I buy I need, but I definetly still buy stuff for 'when I might need it'

Yeah, I have bought stuff that may come in use. I do end up using it, but maybe just once or twice a year or once every few years

I have saved a lot of money, a ridiculously amount to be honest as I tend to be very cautious about buying something, and so don't tend to buy something I don't need.

I have bought things that I wouldn't have otherwise bought because they were so cheap, and it is easy to get carried away and end up buying something simply because the discount is significant. Anyone who spends a lot and doesn't have a lot of self control, would end up losing money on this site, but generally, I would think people save money.

It’s both cost me and saved me money. Overall I recon its saved me more.

Some things I wouldn’t have purchased but glad to have come across a deal with people recommend the item. Do you count that as a spend? Or a product you genuinely didn’t know you needed.

    Defo saved more than spent.
