One review of the Argos bike says you can't take the battery out, which means when it dies you either have a heavy bike, or start again

Loads around but spare parts is a big problem. There are companies that make e bikes and sell all the spares at sensible money vs getting a fault and having to throw the bike as you can't repair it.

Seems conversation kits are the best way forward with fitted at local shop or doing it yourself.
