Fitting aftermarket reverse camera

Anyone done this? Looks easy enough looking at YouTube videos. Daunting to drill hole though so wondering if there's any alternatives?
Thanks

I wouldn't bother. It's standard on my car and I find I don't use it. Mirrors are just as good

Yeah snap mirrors are fine. If anything I'd prefer parking sensors over a camera

I've fitted a few, relatively easy. If you don't want to drill you can usually get an aftermarket camera that replaces the numberplate light or boot release button. (edited)

Yup - tried this. Used a hire car that had a nice big integral reverse camera and wanted the same in my slightly aged Tiguan. Disappointed. Camera sits a bit proud and gets dirty/wet. Little screen pretty useless. Wish I hadn't bothered.

I bought one where the camera is part of a number plate surround which connects to my Double din Pioneer unit. From memory there was no extra drilling required as just used the existing number plate screws. Generally it was well worth doing in my case as I do a lot of towing, so makes lining up with a trailer child's play. Also as it is a pick up with a metal back bumper drilling holes for reverse park sensors would just take more time and effort. The only downside is at night the screen looks very red, possibly due to the quality of the camera, however in daylight it's fine. (edited)

My boy just passed his test and it's for his hyundai i20. Small car but he wants to fit one as afraid of hitting something reversing
