Christmas Snack Goodies…

I assume all households that celebrate Christmas hoard a load of snack goodies in the lead up to Christmas, the likes of chocolate tubs, shortbread, nuts, Pringles etc.

Question is, when are they free game to be eaten in your house? 🍫 🍭 🥜

We can't keep anything, we eat them as soon as we get them, so it's constant renewal

Bought before the Christmas shop in the couple of days before Christmas don't expect them to see Christmas. So if they're Christmas nibbles they need to be bought then... or hidden

Hey you bought them, you pick when to eat them
I still need to buy a bag of them crackable nuts, I remember my auntie used to always have them in her house when I was little so since she's passed I keep the tradition going and get a bag over Christmas.
Pringles were only £1 in BnM the other week, cheapest I've seen them, although Tesco aren't far behind £1.25 (with clubcard).
We've got a little box this year and just filled it with random crap we've bought every other week, like you mentioned biscuits and crisps etc (edited)

Are you talking about walnuts? They remind me of my great nan and grandad who have both passed… don’t quite carry on the tradition of walnuts I but do get a box of Walnut Whips every year at Christmas which sort of counts 😄

Hi, my name is rich & I ate a whole punnet of Ferrero Rocher the other night
They were in the "do not eat , they are for Christmas cupboard"
I sneaked out 2 & moved them round a bit in the box, I would have got away with it had I not eaten them all!!!

    Sorry not sorry 😁

When would you’ve been *allowed* to eat them without getting into trouble?!

Simple - Xmas eve and not a minute before - everything is free game from you wake that morning

I like me a Dundee cake. I'm bored of all those "bulk" chocolates, Quality Street, Roses, etc. I like the cured ham and would go for savoury snacks rather that sweet (am I getting old?).
Mince pies, shortbread, nuts, Pringles, not fussed on Doritos. As long as there is something for Christmas day & Boxing day I'll crack into anytime!
