Free SIM to port in to and out from

Which SIM can I use to port my current number to and then back out of? I want just a SIM, I don't want to pay anything.

Can't be Lyca or Lebara. The Giff Gaff one I ordered requires me to top up before activating.

    Three.

Previously additionally Asdamobile, but now AM requires at least £1 topup according to mid-Dec 2023 post at hotukdeals.com/com…915

Ports can go wrong its best to get a sim to ring out...as with free you wont know if there is an issue....before going away from donor sim.

yes, i personally wouldn't risk using a free sim to port as when things go wrong there is very little help from the free sim provider because you aren't a paying customer, and when you are with the free sim, you can't make calls or use data. the port process can take up to a week to complete as you can't rush the port if you want to minimise issues, which means using a free sim, you could be without the use of the phone for a week.

lebara are taking much longer to port in these days than they used to do. it isn't next day port anymore with them and it can take several days from the port in request for the port to take place.
