What to do with old TV ? Can we sell it?

Have and QLED 55” Q80T SAMSUNG which I bought for £1200 back in 2020, now I really want an OLED tv but my heart doesn’t want the tv to go to waste or to be given for free, samsung doesn’t offer any trade in if u buy oled so not sure what to do, any suggestions? Tia

Advertise it on eBay, Gumtree.

Sell it to cash converters / cash generators.

Stick it in another room or give it to a family member who needs an upgrade.

Already have oleds in other rooms/ tv lounge just need to upgrade it for my bedroom

Of course you can sell it. But TVs don’t hold much in the way of value.

As an example, CeX will give you £291 for it. And that’s honestly a pretty good deal considering the above fact.

Thankyou for this, I didn’t know you could sell it to them, now im just wondering how to carry this heavy tv inside the shopping mall ( closest cex to me )

If want to sell it so it cash in hand and buy a cheap uv light to verify all the notes are legit

I find it incredible that after less than 3 years you feel the need to upgrade a £1200 TV . I wish I was in a position to have your problem.

It is more like 18 months old since it was repaired (prob screen replaced)..

I bought my plasma back in 2005 still going well, not smart or anything else. It works and I can watch tv. Not had the urge to upgrade it either

I sold my previous tv to a friend, it was easier knowing that i was getting some money for it and also giving my friend a good deal

but worse if it developed a fault a week later... then it becomes awkward.
