Ex Shell energy customers moved to Octopus

I'm asking for a friend that is now with Octopus after Shell energy being bought by Octopus.Do you think those people will be able to join the Octopus tracker tariff? as I'm assuming that's one of the best products. That person only uses electricity in their home.

Assuming they have a smart meter, I don't see why not.

Should be able to but i think you still have to go on a waiting list, unless you can join immediately these days

They have to a working smart meter that sends 30 minute readings which Octopus will monitor for a week or so. Once they’re happy they’re receiving these you can apply for Tracker, best option seems by phone - it’s not available as an option online - and is usually completed within 24 hours

if they have a smart meter then they can switch to the tracker tariff but if not, then good luck with getting a smart meter installed by octopus. i have asked them to fit a gas smart meter for us for over a year now and still nothing.

i left Octopus because of lack of progress on smart meters. I moved to peoples energy and had a smart meter installed within weeks. Peoples energy folded, my account moved to British gas, i moved back to Octopus...and am so happy to be back.

Best prices and can use Octoplus rewards and tracker tariff (edited)
