What's your favourite disaster movie?

I see the Towering Inferno is on now, which is my favourite, what's your choice?

I love disaster movies. The Poseidon adventure is a good one. Unstoppable with Denzel Washington is another good one. There are loads that I like but can't always remember what they are called. Chernobyl is another good one.

Kursk is also very good. Disaster movies are even better if they are based on a true story. (edited)

The original 70s Poseidon Adventure. Although it means I can no longer sleep in a ferry cabin and have to stay in the bar.

I’d probably go with Independence Day. But I’ve never seen Towering inferno. Where is it available to watch?

That is such a funny film. So many characters we all know but the names have been changed to protect them from a lawsuit

I'm not sure it can be described as a disaster movie, but Arrival had a real effect on me - I found it very meaningful
