A question about apple Face ID please?

Looking at buying an iPhone X. phone seems a good deal. It it says facial is does not work.
Ive never used a phone with facial ID or never opted in for it and always go with code. Question is

is it ok to buy an iPhone with this flaw or is it a gateway to other phone problems. I very much appreciate any help. Thanks in advance 😃 🖐

Where are you buying it from? It could be the case that the face is hardware is faulty and I believe if they've replaced it with a third party screen it can also be this. I guess it all boils down to how much you're spending, and the rest of the condition of the phone. I wouldn't buy an iPhone x as my main device now but it is down to your circumstances including expenditure I guess

Honestly with the budget in mind you will be far better off going with an iPhone SE at this stage. As above without the Face ID the login for any apps will be a pain as the Face ID is the shortcut to login (much like your finger print is now to log in to apps / websites etc). The SE has more modern internals and the Touch ID you are used to on the 6s.

Don't buy it. Face ID is so useful once u get the hang of it. I'd never go back o fingerprint or passcode now. Also, why buy a faulty phone ever, whats next to fail?

It's likely had a replacement screen at some point. Most replacement screens are inferior to the original in many ways. The main issues I've found is poorer image, poorer brightness and reduced battery life, mainly due to the way the cheaper LCD screens backlighting works. The better ones are Oled and don't as much energy etc. Also touch response can be poorer and they're typically weaker, more prone to scratches and cracks etc.

A friend demonstrated to me only last week how his 12 Yr old daughter can unlock his iPhone using her face.

He's 50 with a beard, they really don't look that familiar lol.

face ID isn't secure. finger print is better.
