Just announced on PlayStation State of play and available today

Silent Hill: The Short Message is a new, short-form Silent Hill title, featuring a young, contemporary protagonist. In 2022, we announced a revival for the Silent Hill series, along with several new titles in development, and this marks the first of that new wave of games to be released. We’re excited to deliver today’s surprise release.

We’re releasing the whole game for free, so if you’ve never played a Silent Hill game before, we hope you’ll take this chance to get a taste of what Silent Hill is all about.

    Yeah I thought it was ok. Just a walking sim really but I found it interesting.

    Given that’s it’s free and a sort of playable trailer to give us ideas of what it’s going to be like I’ve played and finished and take it for what it is! I’m a massive silent hill fan and I’m not disappointed in it whatsoever. “Great” free game. Visuals are top notch. Now patiently awaiting SH2.

    Cannot help but be a cynical Gen X about this 'game'.

    I get it, mental health is really important, the dangers of bullying/acceptance with social media is rife.

    As an educational tool, this walking simulator hits hard for Gen Z, but it does have me thinking....what next, they could at least have had you been chased around those corridors by Elon Musk.

    Next installment, a Silent Hill game in the style of Parappa The Rapper for the Gen Alpha Tik Tok generation with social pressures on validation with busting moves and the bullying dangers?
