Waitrose Vouchers

No MyWaitrose personalised vouchers this week

Have I upset them, or is everyone else in the same boat?

They disappeared last month, but then came back a day or two late. But this time they haven't come back, there are just two (useless) generic vouchers for 50p each.

    Update: I phoned Waitrose today. I was told that personalised vouchers will not necessarily be every week (their terms have been changed) and there can be a gap of up to 4 weeks between the vouchers appearing. I've now been 3 weeks without and there may be another blank week before I get any.
    This week's non personised vouchers are for Sunflower seeds and Soya milk - no thanks Waitrose!

    Maybe they're monitoring if and how our shopping changes when they suspend the vouchers.

    Same here, for about the last 2 weeks now. Have been a "loyalty scheme shoppers" for as long as their loyalty cards have existed (many years), so I have no idea what's going on, especially as a press release by Waitrose of 12 Oct 2023 — said they were "to improve the selection and relevance of personalised rewards for its loyalty scheme shoppers to give shoppers "more options.""

    That's interesting, so there are a number of us without the vouchers. I'm beginning to suspect some sort of IT foul-up here

    The 12th October press release was about them stopping us from being able to substitute when they were out of stock of the voucher items - i.e. changing a Charlie Bigham's Jafrezi for a CB Lasagne and still being able to use the voucher. At the same time they allowed you to deselect a voucher and use a different one.

    Interested to hear more about the generic 50p off vouchers as I've never heard of them - why do you describe them as useless ?

    Useless, in that they are for products that I have never bought and am not interested in buying:

    "Save 50pWaitrose Brown Basmati, Red Camargue & Wild Rice 500g"

    "Save 50pCooks' Ingredients Caramel Flavouring 38ml"

    - are yours the same?

    I have the usual vouchers in the app.

    As always, they're basically unusable, though, without wasting a lot of time. The till scanners can't read the barcodes on the app, regardless of trial and error with angle, zooming in etc.

    Every time end up having to ask the self check-out assistant, who knows nothing about the app and can't help, then a manager being called, who admits the system is broken, that they're "aware of the problem", who then manually subtracts £1 from the bill.

    Instead of checking out on the app taking 30 seconds, it's 5+ minutes and you're slower than everyone manually scanning their shopping, packing, then paying, so I've stopped bothering trying to claim the voucher discounts.

    Does scanning the app vouchers work in your stores?

    I print them out as a pdf to store on my phone and scan them at the self service till (this is the invisible scanner at the bottom end of the card reader). Works fine. (edited)

    I have home delivery every week and have about 6 or 7 vouchers every week to choose from, normally all the vouchers are products that I have brought in the past.

    Finally got my personalised vouchers back this week: all things that I've purchased before, but only one that I wanted to buy this week.

    It'll be interesting to see if they continue to be issued, or whether there will be another 4 week gap before they give me any more!

    I must be on my "break" from getting vouchers..... still annoyed they took away the newspaper voucher for any paper if they did not have a copy of your chosen paper on the app
