I pay 49 PLN (equivalent of 9.71 GBP) yearly on amazon.pl for Prime.
You can access Preime Video without any problem in UK. (edited)

Nor me, mine expires in July. Shame there's no Prime for postage-only.

Prime is worth it for me for next day delivery. Only watch prime TV for the blockbusters they sometimes add. A few ads make no difference for me personally. Given the free magazines, games etc I still feel it's good value for money. Are people rly paying for prime just for the TV?

Have you noticed more and more deliveries are later than next day?
the straw that broke the camels back for me was when i got a message to tell me my next day delivery was running late. No explanation just late. Then when a checked my account it said it was going to be three days. I rang costumer again no explanation or an offer of Prime free for a month or voucher like they use to offer.
For me just shy of £100 a year is not good value any more.
Amazon music no longer free. They tried ads on this and then after the complaints did a u-turn and made you listen to similar music as well as what you asked for instead.
    Amazon Drive no longer available.
Amazon Prime Video now has ads unless you pay an extra £2.99 a month.
Alexa is next. Will you pay for Alexa? Sorry I don't know that one!
    It's just corporate greed.

    Rant over

I guess O2 needs to do this, Disney+ and others, in order to get customers. Their monthly prices, including the contracts with a new phone, are not as cheap as others.

This is not only about the prices xD

But just to be sure...it is free for 6mths? I am reading it right?

If this is your first extra within new plan you can get 6 months for free but no 2 GBP discount then.

Well, they scammed me out of a couple of extra months by the looks of it! I might reach out to them and see if I can get ad-free extended until July.52146306-HbNxo.jpg

Great deal for new users, but who isn’t on prime these days? Title should say new users only too, annoying!

Lots of people are not on Prime. I've got Prime mainly because they offered me the student version. No idea why, I finished school decades ago.

Or you could just cancel your Prime account and wait for them to remove the ads when they realise they are loosing customers and money.

Except they wont. Sure some people will leave but most sign up for prime for the delivery not the streaming. This is likely to have next to no impact on prime subscriber numbers.

    yeah exactly that

most of the people paying prime do it for the next day delivery everything else they offer like prime video music books games are bonuses.

the ads will be annoying but i can't see amazon losing many subscribers because of this.

No benefit for loyalty, cooling added!

They've charged me today for it grr

Plenty of free channels, without having to sail the seas. Albeit the shows are not the most recent.
Ad sponsored, but then so is this and Sky, yet people subscribe

Presumably it's only the additional benefits (6 months free, no ads etc) that can't be acquired for an existing prime member? I was considering not renewing prime (paying annually direct to Amazon) and then doing O2 monthly payments instead in order to make it cheaper overall.
