It appears this will not work for new accounts.

I'm guessing you need to have a eufy security account and have at least one eufy device registered within the app, then this deal will show.

What’s the benefits of upgrading from a Homebase 2? Is it worth it?
    candyman86's avatar
I've upgraded from the 2nd to this a while back. The two main benefits for me are that there's far fewer disconnections. Felt like I had to reset the router & homebase 2 every other week. Now its once every 3/4 months
Second main benefit is that the its much snappier, use to take an age to view the camera from a notification, its much faster now.

A little bit more info on this. I have received mine and it connected to my Eufy Wireless doorbell no problem. I then tried to pair it with my Solocam E40 and it wouldn't pair. I contacted Eufy on their online chat. They couldn't solve it there but escalated it. The following day I received an email saying it was being looked into. The day after that they sent an email saying they had identified it was down to the firmware and they would get the engineer to push the firmware to my camera. That may take a couple of days and I'll let you know how that goes.
But in terms of response, I can't fault them.

Thanks for the updates Robbo. Much appreciated.

    Showing as £159.99 for me.
Logged in but have not purchased any eufy products before. That is probably why I am illegible for it. (edited)

Thanks for the update, looks like it won't work for new users then, and just customers with eufy devices registered to them.

It’s always been this price for me, thought it was for everyone.

Did you follow the instructions by opening the app, logging in, clicking explore on the bottom right then clicking on the image within the scrolling banner? You have to wait a few seconds as it's the second image.

If you just search for the homebase 3 it shows as the full price.

It's actually £105.99 rather than exactly £105 (as £54 off £159.99 is £105.99) but it does work through the app. Just bought one. You need to click the explore option as has been stated and it will appear at the top. Great find OP.

Just tried this and showing as £105 for me. Why is this deal expired?
    SeanRTK's avatar

Best guess, because a few people don't fit the criteria mentioned in the title and the description, they aren't able to see the offer and expire it.

Still showing on my Eufy app. A good price for this newer version. I've been thinking about getting a Homebase and it means if somebody nicks one of my cameras, I still have their details stored.
  9. Skyman989's avatar
I can confirm still live as I just bought one ☝️

I've wanted to upgrade to give some of my wired cameras 24/7 recording, but there's a big catch.

TAKE NOTE: There is no migration helper moving between Homebases, ie. if you have a version 2 Homebase, moving to this one requires unpairing and repairing everything (getting to the pairing button on some of my wired camera's requires unscrewing them from the wall).

Until they fix the migration process I can't see myself buying one. (edited)
    Youngsyr's avatar
This won't do 24/7 recording either, will it? That function is on the camera itself I think, not the homebase version?

I received and set up my first camera on Thursday and this offer has just appeared in the app
    robocop999's avatar
It's because the offer is/was for existing customers with a device set up. So now you set a device up, it's pushed the offer.

You may be able to contact them and get a refund, but bear in mind they may not give it.

Just in case anyone is still looking for one of these...

My Homebase 2 failed a couple of weeks ago and I couldn't get any support from Eufy to help troubleshoot since it is out of warranty (they just advised me to get a replacement and offered 10% discount when I said I was considering a Homebase 3 instead).

By the time I came across this post I think they'd removed the offer from the Eufy Security app. Just as I was on verge of using the 10% code, I looked at older posts to see often they offer discounts on these. I thought I'd take a punt and try the code from the below expired post.

    hotukdeals.com/sha…277

Luckily the code still works! Plus I've complained about the delayed delivery today and have been given a £10 refund too. I've just gotten the tracking info so should hopefully be with me soon.
    Lesh's avatar
No banner image for me for some reason...all I get is the RRP further down the page.

Oh well, hopefully useful info for someone else too.

The offer appeared the day after I set up my Homebase 3 that I paid full price for (never had a Homebase 2)

Did you have any other eufy equipment set up and registered within the app?

I bought their cheapest indoor cam for £27, once I set it up within the app and registered I had the offer appear.

As Lesh said in one of the comments above. You can still get this using the code AESC9YJOUK for £105

Cancelling my previous order of £135. Hope this helps.

I have the Homebase 1, by the time It loads on the app to see who rang the doorbell, they've have already left.
    Will this Homebase improve that?

HB3 with S330 and is instant unless there is a network bottleneck. Fast enough to catch even the fastest Evri Delivery Guy.

Thanks, have been waiting for a deal on this!

Thanks OP, ordered (for a S220 Solocam that won't connect to my Homebase 2 setup).

Good product, now is Eufy's opportunity to make some money off the RingGo subscription himes

Please do your research on this company. They have admitted to lying to their customers about security and features of their products
    deleted93250's avatar
It's 2024 now, it's just Google, Facebook etc that do that, Eufy apologised publicly and fixed the issue.
  22. Robbo_59's avatar
Ordered. My missus is worried about security so anything that helps ease her concern would be a major bonus. (edited)

Showing OOS on the app now.

    looks like a good price
  25. nextman's avatar
I can see this in the app but it says the price is based on trade in. Also it says its not compatible with some wired doorbells.
    SeanRTK's avatar
    Author
I also saw the text which said a trade in is required but I couldn't see any additional information about it. I purchased it last week and it arrived fine, haven't had to trade anything in.

If I recall correctly the original deal when the HB3 was released stated the £105 price was for trading in the HB2 then in brackets it stated that you get the keep the old kit.

Can I zone off the garden and in the house with this home base. Currently I'm running two home bases one for the garden and one for the house. As both are on different schedules.
  29. Scoobyd's avatar
I've currently got the Homebase 2 running two eufyCam 2 cameras. A quick check shows they'd be compatible with the Homebase 3. So does this mean by upgrading the Homebase I'd get access to the facial recognition features? Would save having to turn the camera off each time you go out to mow the lawn or wash the car! Or just to stop the needless alerts when coming and going from the house.

Reading a lot of bad reviews re connecting cameras and false AI triggers. Is it worth the upgrade from v2?

If you own any eufy security cameras or eufy video doorbells then this acts as local storage and also adds in some AI features. (edited)

Anyone else have issues with eufy app being slow on android phones? Takes time to show notification. By the time I see it the person has gone
    dangab's avatar
Me, but not for notifications- to view video clips. Had the system with homebase approx 3 years and its got gradually worse, I think when they changed to encrypted files was the biggest reduction in quality service . Sometimes the clips just don't load at all...

Just bought an E340 doorbell and chime. I have some pan and tilt cameras and Floodlight Cam, which work fine with internal storage, but not 100% if they'd be compatible with HB3. I'm not sure whether I'd benefit massively considering I can add sd card to the chime. Just seems to be ' self learning AI' and storage, as face recognition is available without the HB3?
