When launching Battlefield 3, if it comes up with Origin and Licence Key error or not found, then try this method:

    Open File Explorer
At the top click on View > Show > Hidden elements = ON (same way to hide again)
If necessary, restart File Explorer / This PC
Now select C: > ProgramData > Electronic Arts > EA Services > License
Here move the file 71067.dlf or 71069.dlf or both or all visible .dlf files to the desktop

Restart BF3 and it should work hopefully like it did for me (edited)

Also if you are playing online, it may automtically kick you from a match after a couple minutes for not having the latest punkbuster (anti-cheat).

It only takes a couple of minutes to setup:

    1. Click this link
    evenbalance.com/pbs…php

    2. Then install the version for windows (or whatever OS you use)

    3. Once its downloaded, run that setup file.

    4. Then click "Add a Game" in the top left of the PBsetup page

    5. Select Battlefield 3 and then press "add game".

    6. Wait for it to do its thing (may take a minute or so for it to download), and then you are good to go!

Loved this on Xbox and PC. But is there any players, after bf4 and bf1 came out?

Battlefield 1 is the GOAT and only £3.49!

I didn't even know people existed that don't have BF4 as the best BF game

I never expected to play BF3 DLC maps in 2024 I almost forgot how good they are. Bear in mind the player base has probably risen a fair bit because of the sale.

Most of the players are and will be on the original maps. If you already have bf3 dont bother with this. Then again, at this price why not. (edited)

BF1 is unplayable in multiplayer as every side in every game has at least one obvious hacker on it. By obvious I mean getting 100 kills in ten minutes. It's the same guys doing it every game, it's insane. They are just online for 12 hours a day getting automatic kills by shooting through the map. What's the point?

You need to play community servers. They get kicked

The best battlefield game, it went wonky after this

I'm worried this game will be announced to be on the chopping block next for multiplayer very soon by EA, considering they just finished killing BFBC2. This game has a way larger server infrastructure behind it than that game ever did, so EA will no doubt be looking forward to cutting those costs ASAP. A huge shame, as BFBC2 and BF3 are my all time favourite Battlefield games.

That is so sad. I hate the idea of completely losing access to our old games.
