£50 cheaper than the Amazon/Richer Sounds deal I posted (although you did get a six year warranty at Richer Sounds) so I won’t be returning mine for the sake of £50.

Claim £200 cashback from Epson but as the site is banned from HUKD so you’ll have to Google it.

Worth mentioning that this is not true 4K before anyone mentions it (which they will before they actually read this).

Movies, gaming and TV made big

For movies, sports, gaming and TV drama, there’s nothing that beats the thrill of a big screen. With the option of a screen size that goes right up to a mighty 500 inches, in a very large room, the Epson EH-TW6150 delivers on this – big time. More realistically for most of us, an 80 – 120 inch screen size is easily achievable in most living rooms and is still a big step up from the average TV.

Crystal-clear clarity with 4K PRO-UHD
For a big image to really come to life, you need the detail to match. Thanks to Epson’s 4K PRO-UHD technology, that’s exactly what you get here. 4K PRO-UHD takes native Full HD (1080p) resolution and uses sophisticated 4K Enhancement processing to double its frame rate, creating crisp and detailed images. The EH-TW6150 also supports 4K streaming services from providers such as Netflix.

Epson's 3LCD technology for super-bright images
Sophisticated 3LCD tech means that this Epson projector delivers bright, natural colour with all types of sources. With 2800 lumens brightness, the EH-TW6150 is easy to watch during the daytime and still enjoy a bright and detailed picture. The 35,000:1 contrast ratio means that the Epson delivers deep blacks and precise detail, even during the darkest scenes.

Responsive gaming
Making gaming on this big screen projector even better, Epson’s Gaming Mode reduces input lag for a more responsive feel. Reducing the input lag to 20ms gives you a gaming advantage and means you’ll be quickest to respond in any scenario.

Connect two sources
Thanks to twin HDMI sockets and a USB power supply, connecting two sources is easy. You can use one of the HDMI sockets to plug in a Smart TV dongle and power it via the adjacent USB charging socket. For a cleaner style, an integral compartment houses your Smart TV dongle of choice. The second HDMI makes the perfect hook-up for your games console or Blu-ray player. A 3.5mm audio output makes it easy to upgrade the sound by linking to a soundbar or AV system.

Lens shift, zoom and keystone correction for easy installation
With lens shift, x1.6 zoom and keystone correction, the Epson EHTW6150 is easy to install. Lens shift moves the lens by +/- 60% vertically, reducing picture distortion when mounting the projector in awkward positions. Vertical and horizontal keystone correction enhances this, with a wide adjustment of +/- 30% in both vertical and horizon plains. Add in the x1.6 digital zoom and getting the perfect, distortion-free image is a cinch.

Expand your home entertainment, with the Epson EH-TW6150.

did read that the 3 LCD type projector's 4k interpolation/whatever method is noticeably Not very 4k.
Same sort of sources that say the Texas DLP chip's 'looks like 4k' interlacing-persistence of vision method Does look good enough to seem it's 4k. And will refresh 1080p at 240hz.. if you're playing games on a PC. But right now they all start at £900+.

Don't spend over £100 on any projector until you've read up on the £60ish 1080p led projectors, guessing all have the Texas dlp chip inside, from amazon. They don't have any zoom but too cheap not to consider.

Having had a 2000 ansi lumen 1080P dlp projector and now this, there is great improvement.

I’ve also had a sub £100 projector too and returned it as it was nothing more than a disappointing children’s toy. (edited)

Coolshop not listed in epson cashback dropdown list. Good luck if someone managed to claim.

I've been eyeing up the epson eh-tw7000 from Richer Sounds. After the VIP discount and cash back from Epson it comes in at £999.

the TW7000, by all accounts, is a GREAT projector. I am thinking TW7000 for the living room, and TW6150 for bedroom.
What has help me back from ordering was the fact all the prices have gone up in Feb

I was annoyed when the price went back up at RS and Amazon. I saw this, but not sure if Coolshop are legit? Also, can you claim the cashback deal from coolshop?

I did ask Epson on Twitter last year if Coolshop was eligible for cash back and this was their reply.

I’ve ordered from Coolshop in the past and when I log into my previous orders a VAT number is on the receipt.

    Enough with this 4k fakery.

Could you kindly recommend a decent 4k projector that doesn’t break the bank ? (edited)

Aren't coolshop Denmark based? If so not sure the cashback can be claimed?

Have this for my bedroom fantastic projector
  10. londonstinks's avatar
Are any of the sub 1500 quid projectors true 4k though? I have been reading alot as I am looking to buy one and they all seem to use some sort of pixel shifting.
  11. londonstinks's avatar
Also, can anyone who has this projector confirm something ? I have read that when 4k enhancement is on there is an audible noise when the pixel shifting is taking place?

    Technical Experts,

The following Google TV projector is soon available to purchase in the UK as per an article online.

Is this a good projector? Is there any other better projector available in the UK at this price range? Mainly to watch Youtube.

    us.dangbei.com/pro…-tv

Also 3D projectors are good? kids to watch 3D movies?

Can someone shed some light on this please?

    Many thanks in advance.

Coolshop say they come with UK VAT number on invoice, but item has EU plug.

I can imagine it would be a nightmare if this item failed under warranty; posting back to Denmark?
    Vishyuk1's avatar
If cash back can't be claimed, £200 at stake. I wouldn't take that chance.
  14. FrozenFire's avatar
This is upscaling and not real 4k, can someone suggest anything else ?
    amb47uk's avatar
For 4k anywhere reasonably in the same ballpark of price, even doubling the price... Likely not
  15. rich146's avatar
Coolshop clearly show a UK VAT number on their site
  16. Brian_Mullan's avatar
Has anyone bought this and been able to claim back the £200 cashback?

Will Epson honour the £200 cashback with this retailer
