Nice reduction on Star Wars Jedi: Survivor for PS5, now down to £24.99 at Amazon.
The story of Cal Kestis continues in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, a third person galaxy-spanning action-adventure game from Respawn Entertainment, developed in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games. This narratively-driven, single player title picks up five years after the events of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and follows Cal’s increasingly desperate fight as the galaxy descends further into darkness. Pushed to the edges of the galaxy by the Empire, Cal will find himself surrounded by threats new and familiar.
As one of the last surviving Jedi Knights, Cal is driven to make a stand during the galaxy’s darkest times - but how far is he willing to go to protect himself, his crew, and the legacy of the Jedi Order?
Continue Cal’s Journey
No longer a Padawan, Cal has come into his own and grown into a powerful Jedi Knight. Carrying the memories and expectations of the Jedi Order with him, his crusade against the Empire has only become more perilous. The Dark Times are closing in - with enemies new and familiar surrounding him, Cal will need to decide how far he’s willing to go to save those closest to him.
Go Beyond Your Training
The cinematic combat system returns with additional Force abilities and new lightsaber fighting styles. Creatively leverage all these abilities and weapons to strategically take on an expanded host of enemies, sizing up strengths and weaknesses while cleverly utilizing your training to overcome your opponents and solve the mysteries that lay in your path.
Explore an Untamed Galaxy
Discover new planets and familiar frontiers in the Star Wars galaxy, each with unique biomes, challenges, and enemies. sorted byStory started slow but i quite enjoyed it in the end.
As per the first game and others mentioned, the collectibles didn't feel really rewarding. Trying to find the secrets etc only to get a light saber part, or a new mustache. I understand at least we get them instead having to buy them with micro transactions i suppose but i would have liked something more significant. At least in the mix there are a few important ones like extra stims, force upgrades etc.
What ruined the experience for me were the graphics. I always go for quality to get the best visuals as i sit quite close to my TV, and the graphics were quite disappointing. Sub 10 fps if you go to certain areas (a river where ps3 era games looked better btw, or others), it even happened during an awesome cutscene and that was ruining the experience. What is worse is that it runs 1080p ish upscaled to 4k (and performance mode sub 720p up to 2k) but they use FSR and i can see massive ghosting effects on movement, softness, juggies, pixelation the whole lot. That should not be a new generation only game. Honestly the graphics looked worse than the Fallen order game.
I hear it's because they forced raytracing on it (they removed it from performance mode at least, but still).
I got used to 4k checkerboarding 60 fps ps4 pro to ps5 updates and going back to 1080p upscaled on 30 and worse graphics feels like we are going backwards.
At least performance mode is way better than it was when they released the game, it does drop the framerate but not as bad as it used to. Still graphics look bad. (edited)
There always used good, take it around 20 (edited)
