[Ebay] Did I get scammed?

Firstly, I know I took a risk, and I did so because I know ebay/paypal will "protect" me.

Last night I found this listing for iPhone 15 Pro Max:
ebay.co.uk/itm…880

It looked fine at first - it had 5 available, and 2 sold. I purchased the 3rd, but then I noticed they kept adding more to be available.
They then marked mine as dispatched at 2am (impossible, right?) and this morning when I checked their profile, their entire store is empty and they are no longer selling anything at all.

Scam, right? 🥲

Previous items sold in us dollars.
    100% scam. Hacked account.

    Contact eBay.

Besides, if this is genuine you cannot advertise an item as "new" then say they operate as second hand margin scheme blah blah.

Sold 14 in the end.. Easy money for them.

The seller is registered in Pakistan rather than the UK, has no past history of selling these kinds of products, and everything else they have sold and got feedback on is US-Based low value stock. And even with those items they have picked up a fair few negative feedback points.

Your chances of getting what you ordered don't look great at the moment.

This is obviously a scam but adding shipping details at 2am isn't a problem.
I buy postage from royal mail online and it supplies you the tracking number immediately so i add it to ebay then drop off at post office next day

Yes, was just about to post the same. It's actually quite annoying if you buy postage straight away but don't drop it off for a few days, as the buyer immediately gets a "dispatched" notification and starts counting the days...

My wording is poor. I just mean, did I make a purchase on a false listing?

    (and it’s almost certainly yes)

The stolen account will get into trouble for a while and while you’re money will be in limbo for a while

I would be leaving a note on my door to take any parcels to depot, just in case the seller is sending a signed for, banana.
