Has anyone had a HHO engine clean?

Considering getting this done on my diesel, does anyone here have experience of it being done?

    I use Mannol 9955.
    amazon.co.uk/MAN…c=1
    I have a Peugeot 5008 1.6 Bluehdi auto.
Unfortunately I do mainly local runs, hospital and back.
After adding this to my tank.
It now starts and runs very smoothly from cold.
In the last 2 months I did 150 miles of local cold starts and then a 350 mile motorway run at 60 mph.
    I got 49.79 mpg.
I was very happy with that number.
Near half the price of the other additive above.

This guy on YouTube fixes just about any diesel issue.
He really knows his stuff, here is his review.

Was watching that earlier and like a few I’ve seen it showed no immediate reduction in carbon deposits.

If it is the transit 2L diesel engine (transit/ jag x type/other) then you can simply pull all the bits off on a sunny day and give everything a good decoke.
Taking it for a good run at a good speed would help. Obviously if you live in Wales that means leaving the country.

I'd say don't waste your money first. You need to explain why you think you should have one. In my case I had issues with my Isuzu pick up 2.5 lt diesel auto, covered about 55k most short journeys, dpf, eml, and traction control light. Yes with a clear all faults and a clean all was good for a week or so. After more money wasted, this time at the main dealer replacing the egr valve, still just another temporary fix. It turns out that the DP needs a very good clean as the regen just isn't good enough. However with the use of some redex filter and diesel engine clean I can get away without any warning lights or problems for about 6 months.

Had a 3.0 Merc V6 diesel done a few years ago, didn't make squat difference .
I'd say the money would be better spent treating it to a few tanks of premium diesel instead.

What are you trying to achieve?
    Better MPG?
    More performance?

If it's not too high mileage a mild remap (from someone reputable) will give you both.

No faults but fuel economy has dropped over the years, have used branded fuel for last few years, treated from time to time with redex.

Can’t see much going for the HHO treatment tbh so might just switch to premium diesel for 6months.

Spend £101 on 5 litres of hydra-int.com/max…tml run your tank to nearly empty then add 2 millilitres per litre of your tank capacity then fill up . Treats 2500 litres of diesel .

Been using it for over a year . Engine runs quieter and smoother . Increased MPG by about 8 and no regen in that time despite low mileage runs . Last MOT tester commentated on low emissions .

How well do you maintain your car, if not then a thorough service with all new filters will help. Also what about tyres? Also has your journey type changed eg many years ago I could get 55mpg out of my diesel 106 in a long journey at nearly 60 mph, then very small local stop start went down to 35mpg. (edited)

    Emissions are a funny one.
Had my 5008 tested for its mots over the years.
The adblue tank was faulty this year, been replaced now.
Previous tests for smoke etc, 0.02, 0.02, 0.01, 0.02 and with the faulty adblue system 0.00%.
    Cleaner without emissions working.

I’m not sure if my emissions are high, will check tomorrow. I just remember I used to get better mileage, car is getting older and I think I might need to replace the thermostat as it tends to run cooler than it used to. It will also impact fuel economy.
