Greek holiday with kids

We are thinking of going away in April with the kids (6&8).
Can anyone please suggest good cities/islands to visit. Ideally nice beaches and kids activities.

Can't recommend Crete enough. I am still surprised how versatile it is. Whether you are after a relaxed beach holiday or travel around, Crete has everything. We drove around 900 miles during a 7-day trip back in 2018. During those 7 days, we went to beaches, a lagoon, a lake, an aquarium, a gorge, a mountainous region, a couple of historical places, animal experience centre - the versatility is amazing. One thing I would suggest is to make sure the vehicle you hire has at least 1.4L engine as Crete roads are hilly and smaller-engine cars struggle with the terrain.

Touch and go with the weather in April. Crete would be your best bet as furthest south, particularly around the chania region

If you're considering Cyprus from the above comment, I really recommend as resort we stayed at in Oct. It was the Olympic Lagoon resort. We went there with a 2 and 5 year old and they had the time of their lives.

Great pools, great food, decent evening entertainment and the kids clubs are included in the price and were fantastic!

We stay in Pefkos it’s close to Lindos/Old Rhodes town etc bus journeys , I’m lucky I’ve been to a fair few places abroad but Greece all day everyday it’s just the best! And Pefkos is the best location in my opinion!

Unsure about April, however we went to Kos, with TUI, stayed at the Porto bello royal hotel, plenty of activities, nice beach, we went in August though and only stayed on the resort

Kos Town..... Plenty going on as a City...has excellent beaches, lots of boat trips etc....

We've been to Stalis (fly to Heraklion) Crete 4 or 5 times with our girls. Lovely beach and not too lively, despite Malia only being about a mile away. I would expect it to be quiet in April. The earliest we've been is end of May.

I would have said Pefkos, Lindos or Lardos in Rhodes too, but they were badly affected by fires last year so would research carefully before committing.
