Vesta Curry.

I was just thinking back in the 80s when I was a nipper. I remember my mum making me Vesta curry does anyone know if this product is still getting made as I've not seen it for years I would love to try it just to see if it's what I remember.

80's? Nah, Vesta curries go back along way, late Sixties I would say. Remember Rodina aubergines (curried sort of) from those glory days.

I had one for nostalgic reasons a few years back when I saw one in one of those low rent discount shops that have boxes of food out front on the path , it was pretty grim.

Thought they were ok back in the day but I guess my pallate has matured somewhat now lol

    A non-promoted / semi-secret Premier Foods brand?
Only seems to be referenced within a << Contact Us >> page:

Says on the listing on ASDA "Vesta trade marks, designs and logos appearing on this pack are owned by the Premier Foods Group."

They were almost the only ones you could get in those halcyon days. They were a bit ghastly.

When I was younger, I used to like a double-decker chocolate bar, so I saw them the other day, and I never enjoyed it. My taste buds must have changed.

My folks - well travelled and cosmopolitan for the time - were considered 'a bit posh' because we'd have an occasional Vesta Chow mien. I remember bits of desiccated meat in the stuff that I'd now recognise as doggie treats.

As you say, like so many other things they were OK in the day - like 'Lost in Space' , beef dripping, getting sunburned and the Morris Marina

What about toast toppers. Mmmm. Wish Heinz would bring them back.
