Seriously sharp knives. Absolutely recommend but be careful with them if you get some - the wife nearly took the end of her finger off chopping mushrooms. Even the serrated ones need to be used with real care.

I second this gave the classic dad lecture “these don’t look sharp but they are razor like, so be careful”. 90 seconds later I nearly lost the little piggy who stayed at home. (edited)

If you need one of these you shouldn't be allowed to use a knife.

craftsy.com/cla…ls/ - it's a free course from Craftsy, and it's better than what I was taught at culinary college.
If you are cutting yourselves (obviously it happens from time to time), it most probably because of how you are holding the knife and where you are placing your fingers.

These Swiss knives seem too sharp for even the Swiss Army

They are sharp, but I'm not a great chef and haven't cut any of my fingers. The wife has put them far out of the kids reach though.

Get these every year on my trips to Switzerland have been using them for years. As all the comments above crazy sharp and last for ages! Watch out for your fingers everyone i have given one of these to have cut themselves even though I gave them plenty of warnings.

Can I ask why you buy them annually?

Lovely knives, dishwasher not dulled then noticeably at all. Considered getting several of the tomato knife version to use as premium steak-type knives for guests, but quickly decided didn't want to be responsible for multiple digit digit loss.

Does water get stuck between the plastic and metal though

All of my kitchen knives are Victorinox. I've got all shapes and sizes and they're in great condition after at least 5 years and through many dishwasher cycles. They are very reasonably priced for the quality and you can occasionally pick up a bargain like in this case.

I bought a diamond sharpening steel and a quick swipe every now and again keeps them as good as new (excluding serrated).

    They are very sharp!
