Octopus new fixed tariff

What do you guys make of the new tariff?
Daily standing charges are higher.
Has anyone switched over to it?
Gas 29.49 + 6.01 per kw
Electric 65.37 + 23.35 per kw

Today's Octopus Tracker December 2023 v1 rates for me are:

    Gas 27.47 + 4.02p per kWh
    Electric 55.38 + 18.12p per kWh

If I was to switch to the New Fixed Tariff Octopus estimate I will be £136 worse off a year. I am a low user so the difference would be more for most people depending on their usage.

Maybe when things drop in April things will be clearer.

I think you missed the boat, by a month.

The standing charge was discounted, not raised.

I'll still stick with go/tracker, but those standing charges look good.

It's ok but Tracker is still much better.

HM Govt. needs to abolish standing charges, I think they're there to combat people who put bypassers in, but for the rest it means they can't save much no matter how careful they are with usage.

    What's a bypasser? (edited)

    Think I'll stick with this.
