It looks like youve got a fused spur inside supplying the light?
If thats the case just turn it off and take the cover off the light....see where in the back half of the light fitting the cable is coming through.....you maybe able to lift up the light by putting a hole in another entry point of the light fitting .
i.e. say the cable was coming through at the top of the light....you maybe able to rotate it 180 degrees so it come through at the bottom.
Having said that it looks the lights about 4 courses of brick in diameter and a brick with mortar is about 75mm x 4 = 300mm for the size of the light"},{"@type":"Comment","@id":"https://www.hotukdeals.com/comments/permalink/52371555","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Mark_Hickman"},"datePublished":"2024-03-12T18:32:38.000Z","text":"Is that switch upstairs? How does the cable run down in the plastic trunking if the light is almost at ceiling height ?
Also as mentioned above, do you not want another hole to run cable from inside to outside or dont want more fixing holes to attach light to wall further up ?
You could just change the cable out for longer and run cable up the wall under light if it the hole through wall you're not wanting"},{"@type":"Comment","@id":"https://www.hotukdeals.com/comments/permalink/52371882","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"wayners"},"datePublished":"2024-03-12T19:20:22.000Z","text":"I hope the hole was drilled through pointing.
I'd just drill another and fill hole
Just need some yellow sand and cement 7-1 and fill hole.
I know you don't want to drill another hole but that's easiest way and will look tidy"},{"@type":"Comment","@id":"https://www.hotukdeals.com/comments/permalink/52372458","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Willy_Wonka"},"datePublished":"2024-03-12T20:40:53.000Z","text":"Just add an external junction box where the light is."},{"@type":"Comment","@id":"https://www.hotukdeals.com/comments/permalink/52373447","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"RoosterNo1"},"datePublished":"2024-03-12T23:04:15.000Z","text":"You don't want to drill holes, yet you put up with that abomination inside the house ?
