I'm starting to think you haven't set foot in a supermarket since the 80s

They've existed for around 50 years and have been sold in shops all over the country for decades, amazed anyone has not seen them before.

There ok but not as good as you'd get from a proper pasty shop in Cornwall.

No. They are cheap and horrible. I wouldn't waste your money, then again, some people might like them.

Don't touch Ginsters with a very long bargepole. They are nothing like a proper Cornish pasty. Come down here to Cornwall and eat the real thing. Yes, there are outlets here that sell sub standard but go to the local family bakers and you will get something delicious.

Ginsters is to a pasty like coffee is to tea.

Thanks, I've always wanted to try a proper pasty from Cornwall.😄 (edited)

Bit far to travel to Cornwall for many of us. Can recommend Forfar Bridies though.

I saw this advert the other day for a Ford motor car, anyone tried one and recommend it?

Not for a long time - but they're closing the dealers outside cities, so probably wouldn't bother.

Pasties yuck, the slices are ok I guess

Absolutely horrible. Any time I've had to eat them has been pure desperation.

I've converted to pukka pasties when on offer

Awful things more grissle than meat, you wouldn't catch proper Cornish person eating one.

    Floor scrapings.
Folks must be desperate to eat those or the equally horrible pukka. (Puke pies)

Mind you even most Cornish "award winning" Cornish pasty shops taste absolutely horrible. (edited)

Ginsters will perfect then you should be right at home, your used to things that look better in adverts than the reality (edited)

They used to be very good, top quality, but in the last 3 years or so have really gone downhill, hence why they are having to resort to advertising I would guess. I buy Tesco own brand rather than these.

Under cooked dough . Insipid tasteless filling . Total rubbish and an insult to Cornwall !

Tried one today, and I'll give it 7/10. I was starving, mind you at lunchtime.
