    So many people commenting on how it's not a deal.
    It's a deal because it's backed by a store if stuff goes wrong.
    Lots of people are not comfortable opening consoles and cleaning them, or taking a chance on getting scammed from a marketplace listing.

    Where are you guys finding pS4 for less than this? I can’t see any less than £80 on marketplace and most of them seem to be dodgy knock offs

    so has anyone bought this? Is it worth it Just a casual gamer here and I just want to play GTA V , RDR2 and Last of Us. Dont see the point of paying £400+ for a PS5 when this can be had to cheap?

    Idk if it's worth but you'll absolutely not have an issue with any of those games, PS5 wasn't even out when they were.

    Been I contact with Game today. Want the whole package back, will not accept partial return of just the controller, said I didn't want to do that, still adamant want the whole thing back plus pictures (Why ?). Not too bothered since I have 2 working controllers from older systems. There was a check sheet, 12 point checked including the the controller. So there quality control is lacking. So in the future will NOT order anything from them again.

    Have you tried resetting the controller? I mean it could be knackered, but I'd just get a pin or paper clip and stick it in the little hole on the back for a few seconds then wire it up to the PS4 and see if it syncs. Possibly won't but after fixing consoles over the years wish issues, you'd be surprised at some of the simple fixes I've done. This being one of them. Apologies if you've tried that though.

    Mine arrived today and I’m happy with it. It’s as clean and scratch-free as the slim I foolishly traded in when I bought my PS5. It came with HDMI and a charger cable as well as the expected power lead. The controller took charge and appears to be holding it well. I realise that “Fair” condition can mean different things but maybe I’ve been extra lucky here. It is as quiet as my old slim too.*

    My only negative was the packaging. When I took delivery, I could feel the console sliding back and forth in the box. Thankfully, upon opening it, the console WAS inside a proper “ribbed air-pocket jacket” thing, but it wasn’t sealed at one end and that was permitting it to slide. No damage - there were other air pockets near the open end which kept the controller and cables from moving around. Still think a bit more internal protection would have been good to see.

    *I really looked after my old slim, by the way. It was in superb condition when I traded it.

    PS4 is good but not for 6 yr old, my son is 4 and he can play rocket league and need for speed and GTA but he hasnt clue what's going on or the options menus etc. He just knows how drive the car and crash it.

    Saved one from local tip not long ago, owner did not know how to manually update and bought a ps5. (still need to strip it down clear the dust from its jet turbines lol)

    threw in 2 controllers and dock, which were worth a £90 voucher at cex (rose gold).

    Just bear in mind that if GAME sells all stock they won't be able to swap over a faulty model in warranty. You'll just have to get a refund or will it be a credit note in Sports Direct? (edited)

    Why are all these deals being voted hot? You have been able to pick up consoles like this cheaper without hassle for years. Yet now the ps5 is mature, meaning more ps5 games and a smaller price difference between consoles and everybody is voting hot :s

    Is it just this PS4 at the minute that GAME stores have reduced or have they reduced all the pre-owned games too? I know they are stopping taking in Pre-owned but wondering if it's worth the long bus journey to take a look or not. Won't bother if their prices are still the same though.

    I went to my local a couple weeks ago and they had already removed all preowned items from sale. The guy as useless as he was said they have sent there pre owned stock to a game that isn’t inside sports direct. It’s a gamble and probably not worth the risk just for that

    Fairly sure these were the ps4s where you were ideally after a certain model number due to the power supply or fans making it not sound like a hovercraft but might be getting jumbled up with the ps4 pro worth a google in any event.

    Would this be an upgrade on my son's Switch? He mostly plays Fortnite (and would also play Roblox).

    Eventually he'll want something bigger and better but this could be a good stop gap for a year or two, and hopefully current gen is cheaper then.
