Good deal now but will it be in July which I think is still forecast to drop again?

it’s also only 6% cheaper than cap from April so by the time you switch goes through you will never see the 18% less than cap

    personally id leave it

I’d never do a price fix again! Once bitten, twice shy.

Why, the Octopus price fix for a year has no exit fees.
    Best of both worlds.
Lower price and switch when you want for free.

Sounds like a good deal to me. Is the Octopus comparison standing charge the current one or the price after April 1st? Unit prices are going down in April but standing charges are increasing. My standing charge electricity only ( off Grid for gas) is 64.97p from April and 25.42/unit. (edited)

Are we expecting cheaper in new price cap next month? That is the question.

I just completed a price comparison and it seems to work out more expensive than octopus
Example the standing charge for London is 40.78
    Octopus 36. (edited)

I fixed with Octopus last month, they forgot to change the standing charge before discount.
They soon updated it as now the fixed is on version 3.

    Octopus or EDF

Looks like Octopus fix could be a better option

How does this compare with the Eon Next Pledge tariff? Is this one better?

Do you have to be on smart meters to get best deals? I'm with OVO normal meter and costs a fortune. Standing charge for electric going up to 73.54p for electricity 1/4 (edited)

Rather pay a bit more and stay with octopus , eon , sse had morning bit nightmares . Billing all over the place , you ring up and you can’t understand a word they say , no thanks
