Help and Plumbers who can help with leaking toilet?

Help I've got a leaking toilet.

We have a dropped ceiling downstairs and we noticed only after the water go down to the new one.πŸ˜”.

It drips a little, but when it's flushed a lot more water comes out. It's leaking from where the unbend joins the soil pipe. The toilet does move a little when you sit on too.

Is this something I can fix myself? Get a seal or something from Screwfix?

We only had the new ceiling and plaster done in the last year too. What's the best way to dry out the water and get rid of the water stains on the ceiling?

Had a similar issue a few years back. After a few attempts to get it to seal properly had to get a plumber in. It turned out that the toilet was mis-aligned to the waste pipe entry by only a few degrees but it was enough to ruin the seal between the waste outlet and the soil pipe. The fact that you say the toilet moves a bit adds to this theory, because ours did too.
As far as your Water Stain. After it dries out, Zinsser Cover Stain or B-I-N oil based paint is good. Don't bother with anything water based or aerosols for a substantial stain.

Totally agree. Looks like the whole should be pushed back as far as it will go. No screws into the floor, toilet pan connector not aligned, cistern tilting backwards (which is probably leaking too judging by the staining on the top of the waste pipe). (edited)

you would probably need to remove the toilet to fix that. get a plumber in.

the ceiling needs to be left dry then paint with stain blocker before painting over with emulsion. but you will see a patch

You wont see a patch if you do it correctly, also you dont need a plumber to remove a toilet and replace the pan connector just watch a youtube video its pretty simple, although here it look like the pan connector isnt sitting level with the toilet so the stac is probably a little too high where it comes in, easily solved by using a flexible pan connector (edited)

That looks like the pan connector may have slid off a bit, as it appears to be tilting back, possibly because the loo moved.

We had one of ours leak a few years back, I tried refitting it in situe, but the pan connector seal seemed to have shrunk, or maybe was too loose for the pan in the first place, so I had to remove the cistern and the pan to fit a new, tighter fitting seal.

Check the floorboards for rot under the loo, and you'll quite likely need new screws. (edited)

Thanks. Guys. Will get a plumber in.

Was looking to get the bathroom done later. Looks like it makes sense to get it done now.

If you live in south west water area they are paying towards repairs for leaking toilets.

It won't work if the toilet moves. You might get a few days but it will leak again.

As mentioned above make sure cistern isn't leaking if thats moving but looking at the picture the pan connector is unlevel.
If you push down on the top of the white pan connector does it move and become level or is it stuck at a slight upward angle ?
Also if it been sat like that for a while the pan connector will need replacing as the rubber seal will sit back and not seal against toilet when you line it back up.
Its pretty easy to do yourself, just stop water to toilet, flush toilet, suck out water left in toilet then unscrew toilet base screws and screw inside cistern ( at back ) undo nut on water inlet pipe and toilet just pulls away, replace pan connector ( just pushes in ) push toilet back in place, make sure it and the pan connector are level ( might need flexi pan connector) then screw toilet back down.
