Virginmedia CS meddling with personal renewal offers

My renewal is coming up in May and Virginmedia set me a renewal offer for £31 per month for 1Gig broadband plan via email. When I logged in, i could clearly see those offers when I login to my Virginmedia account.

I talked to the customer service to see if I can get a better deal. The offers I got from them were appalling, £52 from Phone CS and £48 via Whatsapp for exactly the same package. I politely declined it and now when I login to my Virginmedia account. The offer has been changed from £31 to £36.

When it works online it gives me 3 offers the last being the best £28 for 1gb but it now just doesn’t work full stop

Just off the phone trying to get a better deal and they offered a TV box upgrade (the latest box & the Big TV package) with 1Gig for £67.
I had previously put in a cancelation notice (which is final tomorrow!). I thought I'd give them a call (retentions did ring back and offered £29 for 125MB - I was previously paying £31 for 300MB, TV & land line which shot up to £74, hence why I cancelled).
Ugh, I know we won;t be able to cope without broadband - especially over the Easter holiday!

    £29 for 125mb is terrible.

CS don't seem to know about the personal email deals that are sent out and you start afresh with the usual unnecessary long drawn out conversations. I eventually managed to better my email deal by a bit though. I'd never call them and just use the WhatsApp service myself (edited)

I left them back in November last year, used to be on 125mps for £21 and the best they offered was the same but no landline at £29.

Although it sounds stressful and it can be I have to admit leaving was for the best. I went with Community Fiber, 150mbs for £17.99 and the difference in the service, for now, is like night and day. No more random downtime cause some idiot engineer decides to unplug you, I also no longer getting my WiFi dropping which it used to do 5-6 times a day and for my gaming sons the ping and latency times are so much lower.

I say for now as I’m not too sure what will happen as they get more customers but right now they can’t be faulted.
