Garden Room Advice - Lidget Compton

Has anyone used them for their garden office? We're looking at an apex roof with brick finish, but would be interested in if others have used them. (We're novice).

Any advice what not to do, and what TO do e.g. doors, windows, insulation or flooring will be great.

Many thanks

I've no experience of the company but a quick look on their website shows no details of any insulation - other than to discuss with their agent. If you want a building purely for summer use they may be fine but if you want an office that you can use 'economically' all year round then the insulation needs to be as would be installed in a new build. You'll also need double glazing (minimum) - big bifold doors look great but these will allow a higher heat loss than an insulated wall. You will also need to plan for the electrical installation - as this is the likely source of heating you'll need a decent sized cable run to the building from your consumer unit.

Is there a company young can recommend? I've seen Xtend by Forest Garden, but the Lidget one is made fromm
concrete not timber so seemed more durable, even if I have to do then do insulation etc independently. (edited)
