Travel agents

Does anyone still use a travel agents to book holidays?

We're looking for something in the summer but wanting 2 bedrooms for 4 of us means wasting a lot of time going into the details of a holiday just to see if they offer 2 bedroom option. Don't see a way of filtering that on most websites

Just wondering if the TA can take on the leg work and still do a good deal

Thanks

More for the package holiday I guess

We use Airbnb and booking.com for city breaks

But I will take your suggestion and see if anything comes up. Thanks

When you say travel agents do you mean package holiday websites or the shops on the high street ?

Just done a search on the easyJet website and although it doesn't let you add a second room....it says on the results page with all the results wether it's 1 or 2 rooms...
I know booking.com allows you to add a second room in the search too

Yeah, the shops on the high street

A few hotels have the option to upgrade to 2 bedroom but you have to click into the details bit to find it hence the wasted time

    First world problems eh

Jet2holidays allow a filter by 2 bedrooms. Note that you must search by a single destination. Otherwise, the filter doesn't appear. Other than that, yes, you must enter into each one, and it is annoying.
Another note, some hotels will call them "family rooms" for example in Turkey when all-inclusive. But again, not all family rooms are equal, and you need to check the photographs or the descriptions of the room. (edited)

By single destination, for you mean by country for example?

Yeah, you really have to read reviews to see what the rooms actually are

We always use the Tui shop in Leigh. Not sure if that helps. It’s zero stress and zero to remember yourself though. They do everything for you.

Thanks , might pop into Wigan/Leigh over the bank holiday and see what they come up with

    I normally use these people:

    thepersonaltravelagents.co.uk/
    (to be precise thepersonaltravelagents.co.uk/fin…ah/)

They have done us some lovely holidays in the past 10+ years and are normally very good at coming up with nice trips.

You could possibly do better if you do all the leg work, but with these people, you can even earn Co-op points.
