This is blowing my mind. You can book a holiday in Vegas then get there and find out you need to pay up an extra 45 dollars a night for things you might never use?

    Parking is $15 a day

No fridges in the regular room but you can just get an ice bucket and fill it with one of the ice machines. Do not get drinks from hotel stores (they're scams and you can pay $10 for a can) get drinks from the Target or Walgreens near the MGM.

Right next to the monorail station which is a handy way to get around a large chunk of the strip. If you play the free MyVegas app for a bit, you can unlock some big discounts on it.

This sounds great but the flights prices are ridiculous

This is an awful hotel be warned, here are the pros and cons.

Pro’s - It has parking for a reasonable price attached to the rear of the hotel, the location is pretty central on the edge of the strip.

Cons - When you check in they don’t make it clear you have to ‘opt in’ to have your room serviced, so this catches people out the first night saving them a fortune, but then to complain if you call from the room they make you go all the way to reception and join a massive queue to be seen. The pool area is not that big, there around 20 free sunbeds at one end of the pool, the res of the pool is surrounded by huge king size mattress sunbeds that you pay daily rate for which is VERY expensive, sorry but it made my eyes water. Drinks are also VERY expensive, a small coke from the squirt machine $7.99 and frozen non alcoholic margarita $12 plus taxes. In the heat of the summer you will pay a fortune to stay hydrated there. The pool is in gap between two hotels but you do get sun late morning through the afternoon. The clientele are VERY noisy, there it is every man for himself, so if you don’t queue at the doors that are locked that go out the pool at 7am for get your free lounger, not even that people are queuing to pay say $200 for a cabina by the pool!  If you are persistent complaining about no service to the room then if your lucky (because you didn’t opt in to have this service) they throw some sheets and towels in your room and tell you to get on with it.

I normally stay at the Pallagio but it was full, I would NEVER stay at Harrahs again, the resort fees are a total rip off, but then all of the hotels are at their tricks to get as much money out of you as they can, Vegas has changed dramatically of the years and unfortunately greed and crime has take over, there are scammers on every corner so be warned!

Here are a couple of pics

Anyway just my feelings about it, better to go in with eyes wide open than regret it!  Hopefully will help someone.

I'd forgotten about having to opt in to have the room serviced. Agree about the pool, very small and shaded.

Expedia quotes "Resort fee: USD 50.96 per accommodation, per night"
    geoff.hordon's avatar
It will be $45.30 + 12.5% tax which is $50.96, the Americans never include tax on anything

In reality it's around £250 as you need to factor in resort fees.

We stayed at casino royale when we went to vegas in 2019 No resort fees
That’s reason we chose it. Not the
best hotel on strip but it’s cheap and in middle of action.

Not the best is the most optimistic statement about that hotel ever ....

Vegas is just so expensive now , better off going to Blackpool

Like the OP says, August in Vegas is HOT, usually around 40 degrees and even during the night around 30. But it's not humid, which makes a difference, and everywhere is air conditioned. Great find

I did July 4th and it was like stepping in front of a hairdryer on full blast.
was till brilliant though and all the casinos are ice cold.

I’ve been in March, was still quite chilly but nice in the sun. Went again at the end of June and the temperature didn’t dip below 90 at night

What on earth is a resort fee?
  14. ramraideruk's avatar
The resort fee is $45.13 per night.
  15. TheFerryGirl's avatar
Wouldn’t it be more of a true description to put in the title that it is £9.12 per night PLUS a potential 50 dollar resort fee per night.
  16. pinkmonkey's avatar
    Plus car parking charges

Went to Vegas in March 2020 . 26 degrees during the day and not too busy as out of season but all the shows are on.

So you can get away with not paying resort fees if you are higher up the Caesar’s rewards scheme.

Great price but price of flights are so expensive

What a hotel!! Class location. Can’t stress how underrated Harrahs is.
    Wammer's avatar
We stayed there and thought it was underwhelming.
  23. StuieUK34's avatar
very misleading post, but hey ho...
and yes, i do go twice a year
Harrahs mid-week is cheap anyway, and an unknown 3rd party booker like this, fair enough..
But as others have said, factor in resort fee, those 4 nights will be close to £235 total..
    Not the above number
  24. kypsolo's avatar
Hot but not in the UK.
  25. JayGatsby's avatar
Resort fee will be $39 a night.
