Potentially have a car park fine coming my way

I use Pure Gym and Pure Gym give me a voucher to validate my parking for 90 mins. I only use the gym for a maximum of 1 hour just to make sure I have enough time to validate and leave the car park.

I always take a picture of the voucher once it prints, and I always video record me trying to validate it... just in case it doesn't work.

Behold, a few days ago it didn't work. I had the following issues, and I tried two machines, both the same issue:

  • It asked me to enter the last 3 characters of my registration and the screen was on a loop saying 'Finding your vehicle'
  • It then asked me for my full registration and I entered this, and the screen looped
  • On the second go it asked me to enter the voucher code, I did this then at the end it said voucher code invalid after a long loop
  • There were other people there too having the same issue

I have kept the voucher receipt, and the videos of me attempting to validate. I am worried about the fine coming through... as I don't want to end up in court...

Any advice?

Just wait and see if you get a ticket? Then people can take the time to offer advice....

Just trying to get ahead of them. How long does a fine normally take to come through?

You have no ticket yet you are now being told to bother the ceo, HUKD, and pepipoo..
Chill, it is under control. (edited)

Seems like you are stressing over nothing. You got the ticket to validate and it wouldn't validate. You have evidence of this so what is there to worry about? You get a fine and you appeal it - Pure Gym will probably step in at this point anyway.

Nothing to post on pepipoo as you have done nothing wrong.

1st Step contact puregym branch manager and inform them of situation.
2nd Step wait to see if you receive a ticket and proceed accordingly.

As BonzyBuddy says, ask on pepipoo. They're great.

Next time I would video myself trying to complete the process etc from end to end.

I always do that and did this on this occasion mate, because I never trust these parking machines at all. I even screen record on my phone. Some tescos allow you to validate your parking on your phone, and email you a confirmation to say it has been validated, which I prefer because the machines do not give receipts to confirm validation.

Just speak to Pure Gym if you're a member and get them sort it. Its easy enough for them to do if you speak to the right person and its in there interest to keep you as a customer if it was a genuine mistake? Failing that speak to Tony Taylor - fightyourparkingticket.co.uk/abo…ket

The thing is, there is no mistake on my behalf. I followed their procedures, tried both machines, and did not work. I have the video and the receipts

Email the ceo directly if any issues

Looks like you've done almost perfect, I would send an email to pure gym and explain everything, so you've got another peice of proof about bringing their problem to their attention....
If you do get a ticket then go on pepipoo for advice as they know how to write strongly against these tickets

You reckon it's worth posting this on pepipoo? Or wait if ticket comes through?

I think you shouldn't worry about it, It's likely that they'll already know about the faulty machines etc. Obviously not your fault. If you do happen to get a ticket then speak to the Pure Gym manager and they'll have the ability to have the parking charge cancelled.

    1st step - STOP PANICKING !

It could well be that nothing will happen !
If it does, then spring into action.....

You can appeal to the parking company, if that fails you can appeal to the oversight people.
Failing all that, challenge them to court, they'll probably drop it.... But if not, go to court - it's not scary, and you did everything right - so you will win.
    Quit worrying . (edited)

Just email the parking company now with your evidence. I overstayed in a car park and couldn't get out in time due to how busy it was (Christmas lead up), emailed them with evidence and they just emailed back saying they've voided any fines and ignore any tickets that come through if it wasn't caught in time, never had an issue.
