Hi there,

We are getting in touch as you are a verified Blue Light Card member with Asda Rewards and we wanted to let you know about some changes we’re making to the way you can build your Cashpot when you shop with us.

From 8am on 25 April we are introducing a ‘Scan to Win’ instant prize draw for Blue Light Card members that will offer you a Cashpot win everyday, if you scan and spend £5 or more in store until 27 May.

Your current benefit will change on selected fresh products and there will be some changes to the products the offer is applicable to. You can find full details of the terms and conditions for the ‘Instant Win’ opportunity and the new terms and conditions for Blue Light Card members of Asda Rewards at asda.com/blue-light-card.

You can also continue to complete Missions and purchase Star Products to earn Cashpot rewards across all your shopping. Find more information in the Asda Rewards app.

This change will be made automatically to your Asda Rewards account with us. You do not need to link your Blue Light Card again.

By taking part in this prize draw promotion all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by these terms and conditions.

The Promotion
This promotion is a free prize draw (the ‘’Promotion’’).
Everyone who participates in this Promotion will win a prize of which the value of that prize is determined by a verifiably random algorithm. The prize value is not determined or linked in any way to the star which simply reveals your prize.
Entry Criteria
To enter this Promotion entrants must:
be a resident of the United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) and aged 18 years old or over at the time of entry;
be registered Asda Rewards members at the time of entry;
be a Blue Light Card holder and have linked their Blue Light Card to their Asda Rewards account;
make a minimum qualifying purchase of £5 instore and scan their Asda Rewards app instore when making a qualifying purchase;
have the Asda Rewards app downloaded to participate.
Internet access is required, and data charges may apply.
How to enter
To enter an entrant must complete a qualifying purchase (as detailed in paragraph 3.2 and subject to excluded items in paragraph 3.3) (a "Qualifying Purchase") in store in a single transaction between 00:01 on 25th April 2024 and 23.59 on 27th May 2024 inclusive (the "Qualifying Period’’). Online orders do not qualify for this promotion.
The purchase of the following excluded items will not count towards the Qualifying Purchase required to enter this Promotion: petrol, all items from a petrol station, any purchases from Asda on the Move stores, postage stamps, tobacco and tobacco related products, gift vouchers and gift cards, lottery, phone top up cards/vouchers, pharmacy, NHS prescriptions, infant formula, third party concessions or products and online delivery, minimum basket charges and purchases made on George.com. If you reside in Northern Ireland excluded Items also include alcohol. The usual Asda Rewards exclusions apply, these can be found at asda.com/rewards/terms.
Only one entry can be earned per day of the Qualifying Period irrespective of the number or value of instore purchases.
Entrants can have a maximum of one entry per day during the Qualifying Period.
All entries must be completed by 23.59 on the 3rd June 2024.
In store route to entry:
An entrant must scan their Asda Rewards app for their Qualifying Purchase to be recognised and qualify towards an entry. Asda will not add entries where the entrant has forgotten to scan the Asda Rewards app in store or where the entrant has not registered for Asda Rewards prior to the transaction.
Once an entrant has completed their Qualifying Purchase within the Qualifying Period, they will automatically receive a digital entry on their device via the Asda Rewards app. The prize will be determined via the verified algorithm at the point the entrant clicks the black banner on the Asda Reward app. The instant win prize must be revealed within 15 minutes or it will be reset at which point the algorithm will determine the instant win prize again and so on until the prize is revealed. An entrant should follow the on-screen instruction to reveal their prize.
How to reveal your prize
Available instant win prize draw entries will appear on the Asda Rewards app home screen on the blue banner, click this to access the entries.
An entrant will have the option to dismiss or save an entry for later. To reveal a prize tap the star to reveal a Cashpot amount.
Entries expire after 7 days of making the qualifying purchase (the Reveal Period). If an entrant has not tapped the star to reveal the Cashpot or Coupon during the Reveal Period the entry will expire and can no longer be claimed.
A maximum of 7 entries can be stored on the Asda Rewards app at a time. On receipt of an 8th entry, the oldest entry will be removed from the Asda Rewards app.
Asda may use push notifications that can be enabled to receive a notification on your device to notify you that an entry available on the Asda Rewards app however, enabling push notifications is not a requirement to enter.
An entrant will receive their winning Cashpot amount within 24 hours of revealing the prize in the Asda Rewards app. Each reveal qualifies for a Cashpot amount.
All prizes will be delivered by 23:59 4th June 2024.

An instant win prize value will be added into the main Cashpot and can be viewed in your Cashpot history.
Prizes are awarded at the Promoter's discretion and no prizes will be awarded as a result of improper actions by or on behalf of any entrant.
Once added to your Cashpot, an entrant has 6 months from the point of earn to create a voucher from the Cashpot.
There is no cash alternative to the prizes.
Liability
Asda does not accept any responsibility if you are unable to access the Asda Rewards application and redeem Asda Rewards due to there being no or limited WLAN connection available through your mobile device.
Asda cannot accept liability for any losses or delays in transmission of message arising out of the use of any Internet access service provider or mobile network service provider or caused by any browser or other software which is not under our control.
Asda cannot accept liability for forgotten passwords or shared account information.
Asda accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault, technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network or server failure of any kind.
Asda shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever, except for death or personal injury, arising out of the administration of prize draws, or out of the winner’s or any third parties enjoyment of the prizes.
Cancellation and Disqualification
Asda reserves the right to void, cancel, suspend, or amend the prize draw at any time without prior notice [where it becomes necessary to do so due in unforeseen circumstances or otherwise required to comply with applicable laws].
Entrants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions by entering.
Asda reserves the right to refuse and remove Asda Rewards to anyone in breach of these Terms and Conditions.
All users who use prohibited means for participation (e.g. hacking tools, viruses, Trojans, etc.) will be excluded. Participation in the Scheme by groups of players, automatic services or professional services is not permitted.
Data Protection and Privacy
Your personal data will be used by the Data Controller for the purposes of the administration of this promotion only and in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Controller's privacy policy, which is available here.
The Promoter may be required to provide evidence that a valid prize award has taken place. As a result, it may provide a winner’s name and the county in which they live in response to a request from a third party. Governing Law
These terms and conditions, their subject matter and formation, are governed by English law. An entrant and Asda agrees that the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction except that if you are a resident of Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in Northern Ireland, and if you are resident of Scotland, you may also bring proceedings in Scotland.
