    This offer is going pretty much all the time (and posted here regularly too), so not really a hot deal in my mind. Good for people who'd like to try out the service though.

    No money was taken, unlike all the xbox.com thefts recently, yep really secure.

    There's large numbers of people getting their live accounts hacked at the moment, and ms are saying that theres nothing wrong.

    Not as good as the one they sometimes have running where you can get 1 month for £1 through their website. MS would be the last people I'd hand over my cc details to.

    This is a user specific deal which only Silver members or recently cancelled/expired Gold get. If you already have a Gold account then this won't be available to you.

    Not on mine, my gold runs out next month so you'd think they'd want to keep me on (auto-renewal is off, always do that as otherwise offers defo don't appear)

    Mine ran out the other day and I got the deal when I reverted to silver. If they continue to allow me to do £1 gold, I will continue otherwise they can kiss my behind. PS+ gives me much better value.

    I've always found the deal comes live in the dash after 7-10 days (always take up the 1or3 month deal every time my live expires) just make sure you log on to Xbox.com to deselect auto renewal.

    Avid PS3 user here I own an xBox too but really only play the PS3. That said imo xBox Live is so much better thought out than PSN. Shame I don't use the xBox more otherwise I would pay for a Gold account. Hot deal though, more so now you can actually cancel the subscription this purchase will put you on online rather than phone!

    heat added, I did not renew when mine live expired as I was naffed off with paying £5.99 a month but went on and signed up for a quid. Much more reasonable considering I only play online 1 day a week or so...
