(Re weight: Amazon state the King Size mattress is 39.8kg, though, they quoted the wrong weight for the Amazon Basics Hybrid one I bought over a year ago)

sorted byI'm looking for a friend mattress and went I to IKEA yesterday and their must expensive king size, circa 700, was described as firm but felt soft to me. Feedback on another amazing brand one with springs is that it is firm but as ever this is relative!! I know I need to get to the shops to feel then but it would be so easy to buy one of the Amazon brand ones and have it delivered quickly!

though I can see it was posted on HUKD back in August 2022 when it was £228.71.
The mattress looks identical but there is actually a cheaper version of this mattress at 25cm thick (in that HUKD post), this one is 27cm.

Assumed as they looked the same, they were the same mattress. The 27cm has an extra spring layer, too.
D'oh.
And double d'oh, just as I found a King size bed frame and went to order this, the price has went up by over £100 !!
