Same here. For the first few weeks it was 'the best mattress we ever had' but then it became uncomfortable with a sense of it sagging/feeling softer at the sleeping position. I guess a new mattress would potentially always feel good by comparison to a worn one being replaced. Unfortunately, I didn't decide to replace it until after the 200 day threshold had passed.
Have just noticed that there are still some Brooke & Wilde discount codes on topcashback. Does anyone know how they compare to Emma?
Bought one of these last year when they did a similar offer for NHS staff and it's the best purchase I've made in years. I used to wake up with terrible back and hip pains, haven't once since buying this. Mattress cover comes off for washing too which is handy. Didn't like the pillows though, too firm for me, returned under the guarantee and they refunded without quibble (y)
I've had an Emma for around a year now and absolutely love it. It's just the right level of firmness for me and has got rid of quite a bit of my back pain. It's very subjective though and will work for some people, but not others. We had an Eve for a while, but sent that back because we didn't get on with it at all.
We sent ours back under the 200 night guarantee. I didn't like it but I think everyone is different. This was giving me back pain
People like that aren't worth the time or effort. They're ten a penny, can't be reasoned with, and will do what they do regardless.
It’s a fair point, my issue was with the fella wading in and throwing “woke” around as an insult to people, adding zero value to the discussion then messaging me with a pejorative insult to boot. All of this stemmed from a totally irrelevant reference to somebody’s race by the chap concerned. Maybe if he stayed on topic people wouldn’t make a fuss. I’m here for the deals not to be insulted with playground name calling. He’s on my ignore list now so I don’t have to put up with his inane ramblings.
Even on a page about cheap mattresses, people get confused thinking strangers opinions on the internet matter..
I’m hoping you meant to tag him rather than me seeing as it was his message to me. But I agree with everything you said. Couldn’t have posted it publicly because it would have been removed so cowardly slipped into my messages. It’s pathetic.
6 - 10m2. So , you mean a wardrobe or very small box room
Having used this air purifier for a couple of months now I can say that it works brilliantly, I have asthma and allergies and it helps me breathe easier at night, as you can see by the photo it definitely collects dust! It has a white noise effect that I quite like, although it does beep once loudly when it’s finished on timer mode so it’s best to not set a timer while you’re sleeping. Highly recommend!
80m3/hour is a bit lack luster, no?
For cheaper filter sheets, try 20 Henry Hepa bags off ebay for £10. Cut them up and you have sheets. Which means you can use them in your dehumidifier, and after the cab air filter on your car / van For those with power tools, these bags fit nicely over the exhaust ports, so now even the fine dust is captured.
Thanks for posting @tutichwdp and well done on your first hotukdeals thread :D
Ideal for opportunists with a white van and no Windows.
More info on availability on queen size thread here: https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/intex-queen-size-pillow-midrise-airbed-builtin-pump-ps10-at-tesco-3741360?utm_source=mappshare&utm_medium=referral&utm_content=3741360&utm_campaign=2021-06-10
Heated. Probably similar/same as the one in Argos, and the reviews on that don't seem great (and Argos reviews are normally inflated). Seems most happy purchasers got it for the kids room, and most complaints are about the thinness (those complaining about the smell can be discounted as that isn't particularly unusual with foam mattresses). Cheap for specific uses, but probably not a bargain main mattress!
Went to get mine and click and collect and didn’t have in stock. Could of emailed me so I didn’t waste a journey
Exact same thing happened to me!
Mine was meant to be delivered today with some shopping. Just rung to tell me bed won't be coming with order. Fair enough. It was worth a shot
What is worse for me than not getting what I ordered was that I part paid with Tesco vouchers. As they did not charge me they had nothing to refund but I have already destroyed the vouchers I paid with. The store manager said they can't do anything about it and it is up to me to contact the club card line to get replacement vouchers... What clowns?
Same here. Order was accepted. Slot for collection given. Wasted trip as item wasn't available to pick and they didnt even have tge courtesy to let me know before I set off to collect.
Got these for £9 each this week at Go Outdoors (with discount card)
Sorry for the delayed reply. You can get any universal pump, for example https://www.amazon.co.uk/Milestone-Camping-83150-Electric-Inflator/dp/B003LYXH2U/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=airbed+pump&qid=1623398757&sr=8-3 Its not just for the air bed, you can use it for inflating/deflating other things like paddling pools etc.
Thanks. Ordered two so we have a spare as delivery is the same.
Thanks for posting. Just to let you know that your thread was selected for our Highlights pages (highfive)
You clearly don’t understand IKEA’s business model.
Just what has that got to do with you laughing about Brits moaning, this all goes back to imperial and metric. Why shouldn't they moan, beds in the UK are UK sizes, if a UK bed manufacturer started selling UK imperial size beds in Europe, would you be sneering and laughing at them for complaining? There's this strange notion that Brits moan and whinge, but it's utter rubbish.
Sorry I meant I wished I'd gone for medium firm and not firm. It has a lovely top on it so it's one sided, I just rotate around each month
Brilliant thanks, will do. However you said you wish you’d gone for Medium instead of Medium-firm but when I look on their website I can only see a choice of Firm or Medium-firm. They don’t seem to have a Medium. Did you mean it the other way round or did they used to do a Medium one?
Yes definitely. I've had 2 surgeries on mine and this is such a supportive yet comfy mattress. Try in store though.
Yes you're right, however they might just be assembled here. Whether they are or not, you really should look for a certified brand as some the off gassing can be pretty nasty. The brooke + wilde I ordered smelled for months before I returned it whilst every other brand I've tried barely smelled on day one let alone for months.
Brooke and wilde mattresses are made In the UK...
Its all good I am the OP and slept on mine last night. :) very nice.
Thank you for posting! Ordered a Firm King Elite yesterday for £669, today got a message they will deliver next Tuesday, 15 June (London). So far so good, hopefully it will continue this way, fingers crossed.
Nice! you must have an ultima coming your way! enjoy!
