Not in this they're not. The partner bought something similar and we weren't impressed. Maybe we were just one recipe away from heaven.

Maker is an overstatement. It's a cooker. Probably "makes" hotdogs too

But those things do cut calories

On paper, sure. But its like an alcoholic saying he will have beers instead of vodka. He will just end up having enough beers to compensate.

This stuff rarely helps. You want to lose weight? Stop coping with this nonsense and actually cut calories. You can eat anything you want, as long as you count it and limit it (kitchen scale means home cooked foods can be counted too). If you arent hungry most of the day (for the first few weeks or so until your body adapts), youre doing something wrong. (edited)

Everyone who brought this and made the recipe in the box heat your churro iron now and wait for amber light to go off!!!!
Place all the ingredients in a bowl and whisk.
    • 1 Large Egg
    • 50ml Whole Milk
    • 100g Self-Raising Flour
    • 2 tsp Granulated Sugar
    • 2 tsp Butter
Dash of water if needed. Mix should be like a paste.
Pour into iron wait for amber light to come back on and your done!
Enjoy with Nutella or cinnamon and sugar

This is what you need and it works well with this machine. Half a bag …This is what you need and it works well with this machine. Half a bag makes around 16 (could be 12 .. I forget)amazon.co.uk/dp/B09CKF7SVL/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_A6KE0VBGBNBPAZ4DS79Z?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

It's water, sugar, salt and flour. Why would you buy a mix? That's as bad as buying a pancake mix.

They are the same as a toasted sandwich maker...... they make something, but it is not what they claim it to be because the process is entirely different. So, if you've ever had a toasted sandwich and thought "hey, this tastes just like of doughnut" then this is the thing for you. otherwise, prepare to be underwhelmed and enjoy your grilled batter strips.

Hmm, what will I regret buying the least? This or the rock you hold on your face? Sorry, the "Lacura Gua Shah" rock you hold on your face.

All these machines work on the same principle. Is it possible to get something with interchangeable hotplates?

Yeah I agree, they have a donut machine like this too but call it a doughnut make as clearly donuts are fried too. I bought the donut one and they were awful.

Simply because it's tried and tested. It gives good results in this machine and includes a piping bag in each box.
Each to their own. I simply mention that it's a good churos mix for either this machine or to deep fat fry.

I suppose it's one of the cheaper gadgets to use once and put in the back of a kitchen cupboard.

But fat people gotta feel good about themselves instead of actually cutting calories. Years of diet coke, air fryer and light mayo. Still fat. (edited)

    Any recipes please?

It comes with a recipe in the instructions. We've used that recipe the four times we've used it and the results are fine.

The people going on about this not being Churros, churros must be deep fried etc are right but also missing the point. Proper churros are better than ones produced by this, and quite different, but making real churros is a lot more work, messier, easier to mess up if you get temp or timing wrong etc. I've done it in the past and it just isn't worth it. I spent ~£10 on this inc delivery about a month ago, have used it four times, and with proper spanish hot chocolate they are still delicious.

We have this. It sort of bakes rather than fries. Spray the plates with oil first, and it improves them. It’s not terrible; it’s not what you might be imagining.

Yeah definitely but you get quite decent results out of this machine and it's much more healthier.... Until you cover them in sugar or chocolate.
Honestly though it's a good little machine for the money.
