Assassins Creed 1

Assassin's Creed Revelations - £2.69

Assassins Creed

1191 AD. The Third Crusade is tearing the Holy Land apart. You are Altair, a Master Assassin sent to kill corrupted leaders profiting from the war. As you carry out your missions, you find yourself tangled up in a conflict that threatens not only the Holy Land, but the entire world.Master the skills, tactics, and weapons of history's deadliest and most secretive clan of warriors. Plan your attacks, strike without mercy, and fight your way to escape. Experience a living, breathing world in which all your actions have consequences. Crowds react to your moves, and will either help or hinder you on your quests. Do whatever it takes to achieve your objectives.

Assassins Creed 2

Renaissance Italy isn't the usual sort of setting for a video game, but then Assassin's Creed isn't one to play by the rules. Ezio Auditore di Firenze is yet another ancestor of modern day Desmond Miles - a nobleman out to avenge the death of his family in the guise of a shadowy assassin.

Ezio is just as dangerous an assassin as his forebear Da Vinci's glider is just one of the gadgets on offer The level of detail in the graphics is astonishing The canals of Venice come in very handy for stealth attacks

Like the last game you're given total freedom to explore multiple cities, but with greatly improved parkour skills and the new ability to swim. There's also a lot more variety in the missions you undertake - the main complaint with the original game- so you'll never feel you're just doing the same tasks over and over again.

Combat has also been completely overhauled, with dozens of different weapons and a new health system. With no less than Leonardo da Vinci acting as your very own Q style gadget master this stunning sequel improves on every element of the original.

Revelations

When a man’s battles have been won and his enemies destroyed, what then? Where does he find purpose and meaning? To find answers to these questions, Ezio Auditore will travel east in search of the lost library of the Assassins. In Assassin’s Creed® Revelations, master assassin Ezio Auditore walks in the footsteps of the legendary mentor Altair, on a journey of discovery and revelation. It is a perilous path – one that will take Ezio to Constantinople, the heart of the Ottoman Empire, where a growing army of Templars threatens to destabilize the region. In addition to Ezio’s award-winning story, a refined and expanded online multiplayer experience returns with more modes, more maps and more characters, allowing you to test your assassin skills against others from around the world.

Still the best in the series for me, absolutely perfect game and reminds me of a time when Ubisoft were absolute kings in the industry

Yeah I remember being a bit cold towards the first game and just blown away by 2. Never really played the series since enzo’s story ended

The best ones I've played are 2, Black Flag and Origins. All very different, but I thought all were sensational games with amazing worlds. Egypt in Origins is spectacular. A new style of game, but I really liked it. Black Flag has got to be the best piratey game ever.

Just recently gave up on Unity at 50% completion. Something about that game is so dull. Story/protagonist just never feel properly established, and the French people sounding English really hurts it more than I thought it would. Suppose I got my 99p worth from it.

Only thing that really annoys me in Assassin's Creed is the modern day Abstergo nonsense. The earlier games force you to play through some of that stuff.

Agree with what you say about the modern day stuff. Seems like Ubisoft realised that part was unpopular and made it less and less a key part of the story as the series went on. And Shaun Hastings must be the most annoying character in any game franchise ever!
