"The open beta will begin with early access from August 5 to August 9. During this time, fans who have pre-ordered the game will make up the majority of its player count, however, players can also register their interest on the official Back 4 Blood site for a chance to receive one of a smaller number of additional beta access codes during this time. This beta is so disappointing. It might be a spirtual successor to L4D but it's no where near as good.
The mvoement feels weird and the levels are bland and boring.
They've also shoe-horned in a card system that's clearly there for future microtransaction plans.
Cancelled my pre-order.

What happened to it ??
As other has said.
They was meant to leave Beta Tuesday 27th but with the new funding they decided to leave it in Beta to allow all the new players a chance to get Battle Pass done and for them to up the servers and get new Engineers.
Came online at 1am this morning but they disabled all the game modes as they still can't cope with the amount of players so only custom games are available. Nobody joins mine so can only use bots and games are all full to join.
Great game though and they doing really well so hoepfully they get it all sorted soon

I really can't wait. Played the alpha, early beta and will be playing …I really can't wait. Played the alpha, early beta and will be playing this. It's not quite got the Left 4 Dead feel, maybe that's a certain source engine magic, but man is it amazing in it's own right.
Been playing this also,alot of bugs last weekend,this weekend does not seem to bad,match making needs improvement,I keep getting bots most the time,zombies reactions need to speed up and their movement,the powerful zombies what ever you call them are not so powerful for been so big, lfd2 is defo still a game to go to, I hate the splatter/burst of blood effect in this game when blowing a head off,lfd2 blood is better.i feel to much time opening crates for weapons could be spent shooting zombies with random found weapons,plus lfd2 style of graphics I prefer, actually feel more real to this bright cartoon style which reminds me off halo 5.was in hope that this would have more realistic grafic style, still good,shame the game can not be played offline

Meant to reply to this a lot earlier! I completely agree to be honest, lfd2 is just the one and it still has that magic. The bots are awful, lfd2 they prioritised on reviving only, in the beta I noticed a bot focusing on a single zombie that was miles away before bothering to get any of the team (right infront of them) back up! Let's hope that gets fixed. I did like how the powerful 'ridden', also can't remember their name, scaled up in health as the difficulty went up. Couldn't agree more on that awful headshot animation, I know it's a trigger to be like 'yup that's a headshot' and I don't mind the sound effect but the blood splatter just looks a bit childish/silly, agreed. The crates I suppose aren't too bad, that aspect makes it feel so much more similar to WWZ than LFD2 but let's see how it turns out. Real shame about offline. I have high hopes and i'll 100% be picking it up but it's yet to fill the hole that lfd left.
I'll need to fit this into my schedule

Damnnn I played it like 2 days really liked the mixture of Halo and Portal but not been on it since. Great game I do agree the graphic would be more current gen rather than 360 looking
I've pre ordered the deluxe edition. £89 on PSN which I dont ever do but this game looks so good. Got some top ups cheap so saved me a little. Loved Left 4 Dead. (edited)

Yeah I was pretty dissapointed with it. Seems not much too the game. Pretty much copy and pasted a lot for l4d like level design and enemies etc- I have 3 spare beta codes if anyone wants to give it a try

Think might be a solo campaign ( if that's offline is another question) but when you go to load campaign it is greyed out so maybe they will let play offline , really should be.
