Insane? Probably not.
An idiot, almost certainly yes.

Firstly, you're either a troll or a moron and that isn't up for debate.
Secondly, CZ is covered by SCEE so, assuming that you're telling the truth, the customer support (ha!) person you spoke with was either ill informed or just simply lying to you.
Heat pal.
Don't get me wrong, I hope it takes off, I saw this 12 hours ago and refrained from posting it, it's a pre purchase no money swapping hands, there is no harm done by trying, just put card details on account, don't go buying Czech PSN cards you will have no use for.
P.S the Killzone glitch was a pay and download.
Yeah, that's right, now get your wallet out and pay for it
but I suppose if that does happen you can buy something, maybe a PS3 or Vita game or even a PS4 indie game with the £4 wallet
lol then you're not necessarily taking that much of a risk unless they fancy trawling through their records and linking names.
Sony's instructions on the pre-order don't change the fact the pre-order is considered to be an offer made by you so the requirement for funds is a pre-requisite to making an offer. Hence it doesn't matter what they've said, you choose to make the offer, you're not forced.
I only care because someone with linked accounts might read what you said, request a refund and find their main account at risk. I've had a friend with their account at risk in discussions over a cash refund and it wasn't for anything dubious they'd done either.
Great offer if this works and voted hot but if it doesn't then you knew the risk going in to it, your loss. Companies like Sony cover their butts in T&C's for exactly reasons like this. Mistakes happen.
Got a pre-order lodged but going to give it a few days before adding funds to see if they cancel.
Also added 150KC via the PS4 via setting, PSN, Acc Man, Add funds. When doing it on the website the different post codes would conflict but went straight through no problems on the PS4 itself.
Why would you do that? couldn;t you just wait and see? attracting attention to it will quite simply get it cancelled, i can't believe the stupidity of some people
It will say that for everyone because they haven't actually charged anything yet.
Oh no, not you again.
Yes.
I just checked my PS4 and have received the message posted. It's strange that it says PS3, rather than PS4. However, the pre-order countdown is on my PS4, the content still appears on my download list (online) and my purchase order for the mispriced amount is still active in my transaction history.

Made a fake account, found an address to use, my credit card didn't flag either, awaiting the usual phone call from the Santander fraud department now!
How do I pay? I clicked confirm and it sent me directly to the confirmation page without asking for payment. Strange.
Or do I just have to add my card and they'll take payment at a later date? I've only ever placed a pre-order using top-up cards before.

I don't want to leave my card on the Czech account though just in case they try to charge the full price! I guess I will just delete the details and hope they take the cash from my wallet.
Nice find OP!
Trust me, I'm Czech
Yes, they probably just clicked pre order, but the card will fail when sony go to debit the card!
Need to try to add funds now with the same card, if it fails now, it will fail on release day
I simply added my real uk address, and omitted the postcode on the billing, psn accepts it, but i can't add credit to my account
i also tried a cz postcode with my uk address, again psn accepts it, but fails when i try to top up wallet
this needs prepay for most people, so who's gonna go find a working site?

Add your card details on your PC, with your real card address, except with a Czech republic postcode. It will then say "Sorry your card information is invalid" when you try to buy. Now create an account on your PS4 with the Czech log on details you just used to create your new Czech account on PC.
Try to "buy" a low priced game (Hotline miami is similar priced), and go through checkout, but instead of "Confirm and pay" go on "Add Funds" instead (cant remember on which screen this is, it's during checkout). You can then add the minimum of £4 worth of Czech-money to your account, and it will accept the card details you entered on PC. Then simply back out of buying Hotline Miami and the fund are in your account ready!
