Seems a good deal, not sure what's 'intense' about this. Looks like regular Canadian syrup. Says organic too if that means anything.

I'm Canadian and need this!! A store about 6 miles away ... are some stores better than others? I see loads of good deals but unsure if its worth the drive. Thanks!

I would say it’s definitely worth the drive, there’s plenty of good deals across a range of products. Combine this with an Aldi for fresh products and you’re sorted.

Just a heads up, but Marks & Spencer do a range of fantastic syrups at a decent price (680g for £1.40 - £1.60)......Maple Syrup, Golden Syrup, and Black Treacle. Thought it was a good price, so bought a few for the kids pancakes and ice cream.

Yeah but it's Maple flavoured syrup not real Maple syrup

I bought 4 bottles of this last week @ £2.49 and thought it was a good deal, it was still the same price yesterday when I called in. (edited)

This stuff is not to my taste. LOVE maple syrup but, this has an extra woody flavour.

    Fantastic deal though.. (edited)

🔥🔥🔥Love this stuff. Have a 1/3 of a bottle left in my kitchen cubboard. It costs nearly £7 in my neck of woods I only get it when it gets reduced a couple of times a year.
Not jealous at all of yous lucky bunnies who happen to live near FarmFoods Wakefield (edited)

Hi, a word of warning - maple syrup needs storing in the fridge after it's opened. You risk it going mouldy otherwise - a bloom can develop on the surface. Unless you polish off the bottle in a few of days!

It's fine in a cupboard until it's opened, but refrigerate after opening. (edited)

It the same price in Stirling as well. It’s a very strong maple syrup. Might be national. Heat from me.

Was just priced at £2.49 in my local, so not necessarily national.

Did you check it at the till? At ff I generally spend 25% of each trip checking prices at the till but usually around 50% good outcome....................

I'm not keen on this as a standalone syrup but it's great for adding to sauces and marinades. I paid £2 something for it a few weeks ago in Farmfoods and then noticed it was reduced further to 99p yesterday. Sometimes as much as £7 on Ocado

If good quality normal maple syrup is a gentle caress, this stuff is a snog and a slap to the side of the face. Great if it's what you're into.

When they say "Intense", they mean it's got a MUCH stronger flavour than regular maple syrup. Perfect if you like that flavour and you're using it as a dressing or drizzle sauce.

But it's not a drop-in replacement for normal maple syrup as an "ingredient" unless you want whatever you're making to have that maple flavour at the front and centre.

Heat added coz it's a bargain. Good spot !

As a true Maple Syrup Conesseaur I strongly disagree. However ... the 14 year old is definitely on your side!! 😄

Just got 3 bottles of it from the Birkenhead store .
Glad I didn't buy a bottle about 2weeks ago when it was £2.49. Great post, OP!

For anyone in the area - five bottles remaining on the shelf about 1/2 hour ago.
