Much improved from initial release, this now runs nicely and is a no-brainer at this price.

Prove that under the skin of stone beats a heart of a true hero!CASTLE OF HEART, available exclusively for Nintendo Switch™, is a classic action platformer at the genre's best… and most challenging, with plentiful of new twists on formula to experience. The players take control over a cursed knight, turned to stone by the evil sorcerer's spell, but ready to prove that love and courage can conquer even the darkest magic.

The brave hero must travel all the way from the petrified village to the dark ruler's castle, mastering 20 levels set in 4 distinct environments – full of enemies who require different strategies to face them successfully and sudden gameplay changes, which translate to exciting, dynamic action sequences. The selection of progressively more powerful additional weapons, from flaming grenades to powerful magical arsenal, as well as power-ups, will help him in his quest. But remember – the body of stone has its limits! It disintegrates permanently as the knight loses the energy, which he can supply only by defeating his enemies, and if the process reaches the critical level, he may lose one of his arms and the ability to wield additional weapons with it.

Castle of Heart offers beautiful and detailed 3D graphics with changing landscape, weather conditions and rich backgrounds. The game's aesthetics and bestiary are in equal parts inspired by the Slavic mythology – with some locations derived straight from famous, mystical locations in Poland, the developers' home country – and the dark fantasy atmosphere of the best action platformer titles from the golden age of the genre. All of this makes Castle of Heart a perfect mix of classic influences and modern approach, utilizing the spectrum of Nintendo Switch™ features, which will enchant both fans of the genre and newcomers.

What specifically has been improved? It would be good to know what can be reconsidered from the initial reviews.

Cheers

I've just started it again , it's worth playing and I'd feel satisfied spending £10 on it . It's a decent indie imo, maybe 7/10. Here's a more recent review ( some bad language )

I bought it last time it was on offer and spent about 30 mins on it. I thought it was a good platformer for a dirt cheap price.
Cheers OP! Heat added - steal at this price
I appreciate the dev listening to feedback and releasing tweaks and updates, like they haven't just dumped shovelware and run.

Bought from the SA store, it's slightly cheaper for around £1.05 (R19.90) after using my gold points it only cost me 63p.

The SA store for this game is the third cheapest.

You're a plague on the gaming community. We need to protect regional pricing. Saving yourself less than 30p pshhh...
it looked good until i realised it was a platformer
as a neo-Switch user myself, i'm very fond of these deeply discounted "hidden gems"
thanks!

On release. It's been updated and many of the flaws were addressed with the patch. Those reviews were the un-patched version.

Didn't know HUKD was a "gaming community", I thought it was for sharing info on where a person can get a better deal, "no matter the cost".

Thanks for the info, I've taken your advise.
Missed out last time and was disappointed. I'll make sure to grab it later today
Looks like Trine but not as good. Can’t complain at that price though

Both Trines are on sale on the eshop right now with Trine 1 being £9.44 and Trine 2 for £10.70, in case anyone wants to splash out more.
Played a couple of stages and it's just not enjoyable. Can't pinpoint exactly what's wrong with it. I think it's a combination of various mediocre elements: generic story, dull AI, stiff controls (but your armour is made of rock tbf), uninspiring soundtrack etc. In my opinion it's not worth your £1.34, your time or the space on your Switch/sd card. Skip this one, you have been warned.
